Get your knees up and your forks ready! 🥧🥔
​We’re hosting a Pie & Mash Night at Fenland Airfield that’ll be more "Wallop!" than "Rabbit, Rabbit!" Come for the crust, stay for the boogie.

​📅 Saturday 16th May
🕔 Kick-off: 5pm
🍽️ Grub’s Up: 5pm – 8pm

​The Plan:
First, we feast! We’ve got Chas & Dave style tunes playing while you tackle your liquor (the parsley kind!) and mash. Once you're fueled up, we’re clearing the tables for a Disco till late to burn off those carbs. 🕺💃

​The Damage:
​£10 for Members
​£12 for Non-Members
​Feeling extra hungry? £6 supplement for Double Pie & Double Mash! (The "Proper Cockney" option).
​Every penny goes toward supporting the running of our club, so you’re eating for a good cause! ✈️

Fantastic day here at Fenland Aero Club. Lots of children and adults alike have enjoying the Easter Egg Hunt in the garden and club room.

A huge thank you to all those club members who have helped with this event and our Club Chairman who donated the raffle prize.

Lots of cakes and yummy meals on offer today. Why not pop by and join in the fun.

Here we have two gentlemen who have flown in from Rochester in their C172.

What a fantastic evening! A massive thank you to everyone who navigated their way to the club today to hear Keith Wilson and Bob Davy spill the beans on "Formation Flying: Especially for the Camera."

​We learned a lot today, but mostly we learned that:
​Keith can apparently take a world-class photo while pulling Gs, whereas most of us can’t even get a clear photo of our lunch. 📸
​Bob has flown over 300 aircraft, which is impressive, but we’re mostly just relieved he managed to find the car park at Fenland today. 🚗💨

​The Interval Buffet is the only thing capable of successfully breaking up a room full of aviation enthusiasts talking about Merlin engines. 🥧

​A Huge Shout-Out 📢
​This event wouldn't have "cleared the runway" without some serious behind-the-scenes heavy lifting. A massive thanks to:
​Heidi, for keeping us all organized and handling the bookings like a pro.
​Ziggy and Josh, for their input and hard work in getting this whole thing off the ground.

​Seriously, without these three, we’d probably still be trying to figure out how to turn the microphone on....wait thats Lee's job and he still got it wrong

"Formation Flying: Especially for the Camera."

Based on their stunning new book Warbirds to Workhorses, Keith and Bob will be sharing behind-the-scenes stories and world-class air-to-air imagery from their 20+ year partnership.

​Meet the Speakers:

​Bob Davy: Commercial pilot with 16,000 hours in over 300 aircraft (including the P-51 Mustang and Yak-3!).

​Keith Wilson: Renowned aviation photographer who has captured nearly 2,000 different aircraft in flight.

A night to remember at the Airfield! ✈️🌾

​A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for Francis Pryor’s fascinating talk on the Fens.

The atmosphere was absolutely electric, and it was brilliant to see such a great turnout!

​A massive round of applause goes to:
​David Petters for his efforts in arranging such a prestigious guest.

​Heidi for her tireless organizing to make sure everything ran like clockwork.(shes like a well oiled machine, never stops)

Toni for the best introduction ive ever heard ( i was to chicken to do it myself )

​Francis really brought the ancient landscape to life, though we did have a few laughs about some of our more "seasoned" members. We weren’t sure if you were nodding in agreement with the archaeology or if you were just reminiscing about being there when the Fens first flooded! 😉 It’s good to know we have members who can fact-check the Bronze Age from personal experience!

​In all seriousness, thank you all for making it such a special evening.

Events like this are what make our community at the airfield so great.
