A massive well done to all involved in saving the swimmer and his son who found themselves in danger in the river this evening.

Although a hire boat was present at the scene it was fortunately a staff member aboard with her family for the evening. They knew the signs of someone drowning and their quick thinking saved his life along with a few other boaters including another staff member able to help on the bank.

Well done team, I am incredibly proud of you both and everyone else who helped 👏

Never underestimate the power of the river.
It's unpredictable and currents are stronger than you think!
