Here's something I don't think enough people ask when they're booking a holiday to Turkey.

**What's the story behind the place you're actually visiting?**

Take Bodrum, for example. Most people think of beautiful beaches, sunshine and all-inclusive resorts. And yes, it's got all of that. But there's so much more to this place.

Over 2,000 years ago, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World stood here , The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus.

Bodrum has been shaped by ancient Greeks, Romans, Byzantine rulers and the Knights of St. John. And you can still see that history today, especially in the castle overlooking the marina.

So, when you're walking around the old town or exploring the castle, you're not just sightseeing. You're experiencing a place with an incredible story to tell.

And that's one of the things I love about travel. It's not just about where you stay. It's about what you get to experience while you're there.

**Now, let's talk about where you could be staying.**

**Now, here's the bit that really caught my attention — the dates and the price.**

We're looking at Easter Monday, the 5th of April 2027.

You've got the Easter bank holiday weekend at home, the school holiday period to work around, and then you can head off to Turkey for seven nights, returning on the 12th of April.
