Yesterday we broke out of the editing suite and headed over to our favourite museum - Amberley - to take a few photos for our Season 2 crowdfunding launch. New outfits for the boys, some folio shots for Prod Super Thrine, and even Prod Lou was cornered on the other side of the lens. Episode 5 is coming together now and we hope to be announcing the preview date soon soon soon. Thanks to Amberley Museum for allowing us to use their standard gauge line as a backdrop!

We featured this beauty of a box in Episode 1, when we visited Amberley Museum with Bob Howick. It was the first time Bob had returned to the Billingshurst signal box since he did his signalling training in it as a lad. Bob went on to become Porter Signalman at Steyning station and the box gave many more years of service to her town before being rescued under threat of demolition, and moved to her forever home. Lovely to see her 150th birthday being celebrated - it should be a great weekend!

This is the rather marvellous Billingshurst Signal Box, which celebrates its 150th birthday this year.
The official celebrations will be part of the Rail Gala on 18 and 19 July, when the Signal Box will be open to explore and extra information available.
Not only that but a special, celebratory beer will be available to taste!

Another wonderful collaboration for Tracing the Rails®!

Chris Kirk recently had the pleasure of meeting the fantastic Rowena Tyler, Arun Valley Line Officer for the Southeast Communities Rail Partnership.

SCRP do brilliant work connecting communities with their local railways, supporting station projects, education, community engagement, walking routes, heritage, tourism and sustainable travel.

We are absolutely delighted that Rowena and SCRP are looking forward to working with us in the future — and we feel exactly the same. We already have some fantastic ideas for Episode 6, as well as ways that Tracing the Rails® can give something back to the community through the partnership.

It is always exciting when railway history, local people and community spirit come together. Another lovely step along the line!
