The Foxfield miniature railway was started back in early 2008, since the opening in late 2009 it has grown and grown, we are now nearing the completion of the line with the addition of the balloon loop extension. Once complete we will be the steepest and most demanding line in the Midlands. The railway is also now getting a name for the construction of its own locos and rolling stock. The railway
holds several locos, including battery locos, internal combustion and Steam. We put on several events over the year, manly along side the FLRS. but each year we have our very own weekend, devoted to the miniature railway, which is getting bigger and bigger each year. with a grade of 1 in 20, we clime over 10ft to the summit. making an interesting ride with the loco's working hard, The new extension takes you around the woodland where there will soon be a Child's play area and picnic benches. We have 3 stations, the main terminus which has the loco shed and workshop, there are two platforms a turntable and several sidings. at the summit there is a passing loop allowing us to run several trains at once. at the new station there is a platform and a few sidings leading down to what will soon be a miniature colliery yard with its own set of headsticks.
