We’re excited to share GoStart’s very own Peter Finch (Trustee) has been nominated for the CTA Volunteer of Year Award.
Over the years Peter has been a Trustee, Treasurer and Volunteer Driver, always quietly giving his time to help others.
Although Peter stepped back earlier in 2024, he returned following GoStart’s founder John Phillip’s sudden passing. Thanks to his dedication, determination and calm leadership, GoStart has continued supporting hundreds of people in our local community.
Peter is still a Trustee, a familiar face in the office and driving regularly, continuing to make a real difference locally.
We’re incredibly proud of his nomination and he’s GoStarts Winner, whatever the outcome 💙.
Volunteers are at the heart of community transport and make a real difference every single day. Without them, the sector wouldn't be what it is today.
These are the shortlisted finalists for CT Volunteer of the Year at our CT26 Awards, proudly sponsored by Rivervale Minibus.
• Robert Telfer (Kirkconnel Parish Heritage Society)
• Peter Finch (GoStart Community Transport)
• Joan Stace (Manorbier & District CTA)
A huge congratulations to all three nominees for the time, care and commitment they give to their communities.
