Just back from a fantastic trip, delivering a vintage lifeboat to the Orkney Islands.
The boat was built on the island in 1963 and we returned it home, we even got to see the boatyard she was built in and had lunch with the man who built her! At 91 years young Robin was able to tell us plenty of history about the boat and the islands which made the trip even more memorable.
It’s jobs like these that make all the hard work worthwhile, and I would recommend a trip to the Orkney islands to anyone.

Class one driver vacancy for bulk tipping work.

We need a good reliable driver, been looking for the right one for a while now, I'm out driving myself in the meantime and enjoying it so not just looking for 'bums on seats' but a good driver who wants a long-term job with a good team where your treated with the respect you deserve not as a barcode.

We are a small firm based in Tamworth, The job is mainly on bulk tipper work hauling scrap, Monday to Friday with up to 4 nights out.
Tipper experience is preferred but not essential, good attitude to work and being able to work off your own initiative is however essential.
We have a good friendly bunch of lads and a really good bit of work, decent money and decent plant, a great opportunity for the right person.

Saddened to get the call this morning that one of our old drivers and good friend Wayne Mullins has passed away.
Wayne and I worked together at Loane transport back in 2011/13 and he came to work for us in 2022. He was well known in his Daf we called ‘Blue Moon’ after his love for Manchester City FC, in EMR around the North West.
We’ve had some good laughs over the years. He was a proper old school bloke, no messing and no back doors. We used to meet up in the Hollies on a Saturday morning every month for breakfast and a catch up.
You will be missed my friend.
Our thoughts are with Gill, Brad, Kelly, Jason and all the family at this difficult time.
Rest in Peace muckka 🍻
