Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HGV Driver (Category CE) to Transport, Collect and deliver goods

The roles is based in Kilkenny , Dublin, Athlone IRL & Tamworth UK with regular routes to and from Dublin Port & Rosslare Port

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

· Safely operate Category CE HGV vehicles

· Transport and deliver goods in Boxvans, Fridges & Curtainsiders Nationwide + UK + Western Europe

· Ireland Only work available also.

· Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in line with company and customer requirements

· Complete and maintain all relevant documentation and records (delivery notes, tachograph data, etc.)

· Comply with all road transport and health & safety regulations

· Carry out daily walk-around checks and report any vehicle defects promptly

· Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times

Working Conditions:

· Nights out during the week will be required at times

· Work patterns and routes may vary depending on operational needs

Requirements:

· Valid Category CE driving licence

· Valid Driver CPC

· Valid digital tachograph card

· Ability to communicate effectively in English

· Relevant HGV driving experience

Eligibility:

· You must be currently based in Ireland or be an EU citizen. We cannot provide work permits at this time, so non-EU candidates requiring sponsorship should not apply.

· We can consider younger drivers (under the usual age) depending on experience and qualifications, in line with legal requirements.

Due to continued expansion, we require 1 Junior transport planner and 1 senior transport planner to join our team in Kilkenny

Senior Planner

Reporting directly to the Transport Manager:

Organise and reschedule as appropriate, all delivery schedules for drivers in line with requirements.

Work within all tachograph legislation

All transport systems are being fully utilised to ensure the department is fully functioning.

Deal effectively with delivery related issues
Work with the Transport Manager to ensure there is a sufficient drivers available during peak period.

Adapt driver schedules to any changes that may occur, e.g. vehicle breakdowns, late unloading etc.

Candidate Requirements:

Good Geographical Knowledge of Ireland and UK

Experience in Planning and Scheduling

Good problem solving skills.

Good IT Skills, I.e. Word, Excel, Outlook

4 years experience in a fast paced pressurised environment

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Junior planner

We are looking to recruit a Junior Transport Planner.

The position requires a self-starter who is able to work on their own initiative, liaising with drivers, customers and suppliers

The ideal candidate must be fluent in English both Written & Spoken, must possess good communication skills and be willing to work as part of a team.

Duties to include:

Adhering to driving regulations.

Working closely with the planning team to ensure all vehicles are planned correctly and as efficiently as possible.

Loading with customers and suppliers

Data input & Information sharing

Full training will be provided

Some weekend work is required
