Safety message. I came the closest to a major crash in 5 years this week. It really shook me up. Driving along after the rain storm Tuesday. The sun was out, no one in front of me. But coming the other way a 4 wheel drive and lorry and car. North Devon roads arent over wide but plenty of room. As he got closer i noticed there seemed to be quite a bit of surface water which he hit first sending a tidal wave across my windscreen. Windscreen black out ! By the time id got my wipers going, id passed the lorry and the car. I just held a dead straight line and prayed. Braking would have aquaplaned me. So on rural roads really take care there are pot holes galore and huge puddles and surface water. stay safe

Cracking run to Andover today, once past Honiton, white hedgerows and fields. worth looking out for a couple of patches where water has been going across the road from the hill sides and the car spay, has frozen onto the hedge row... ...looks Amazing but you cant easily stop there !
