Looking back on half-term week, one thing really stood out.

Seeing members bringing children, grandchildren and family down to Beacon Quay and spending proper time together on the water.

No rushing.
No complicated plans.

Just packing up for the day, heading out on the boat and making the most of where we live.

Living on the English Riviera, it’s easy to forget sometimes just how fortunate we are to have all of this on our doorstep.

For many of our members, boating was always something they thought they’d do “one day”.

Now it’s simply part of family life.

Those shared experiences, the laughter, the adventures and the memories made along the way are what Freedom is all about.

A snapshot of Day 2 at The English Riviera Airshow and what a fantastic couple of days it’s been.

Between the ice creams, conversations and meeting so many wonderful people, one message from our members summed up Freedom Boat Club perfectly:

"You only get this view of the airshow from a boat in the bay."

While we were next to the beach introducing people to our 'Don't Own. Just Boat.' lifestyle, our members were enjoying front-row seats from the water.

A great partnership with Ben Tisdall - Books in the Bay, Torbay Literacy Festival, the teams at Hays Travel Torquay and Torbay Gin for being great neighbours and supplying us with cooling mist and some delicious samples of Gin and Rum cocktails. A huge shout out to the Red Arrows team and all the pilots for some incredible displays, and to The English Riviera Airshow, The English Riviera BID Company and Torbay Council for bringing another spectacular event to our beautiful bay.

Day one at the English Riviera Airshow did not disappoint! ✈️🌊

From incredible Red Arrows displays soaring above the Bay, to meeting so many people curious about a different way to enjoy life on the water, it’s been a fantastic start to the weekend.

At Freedom Boat Club Torquay, we’re changing the way people boat. No maintenance. No cleaning. No trailering. No hassle.

Just boating.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand yesterday to discover our “Don’t Own. Just Boat.” membership concept and learn more about the benefits of club membership.

And what a way to finish the day… fireworks lighting up the Riviera skyline. 🎆

At Freedom Boat Club Torquay, we’re all about helping people enjoy more time on the water without the cost, hassle and commitment of boat ownership.

Most people in business have a switch-off routine.

We see it all the time with our members.
