Portscatho Regatta is on Saturday 29th August. This fantastic event is one of the finest, friendliest and unique regattas in the POFSA village regatta calendar.

Sailing starts at 1100 with a fun passage race for all yachts, day boats, gaffers and working boats from Black Rock Bouy in the Carrick Roads, to Portscatho.

Please monitor VHF Channel 72 for all details.

The main regatta racing starts at 1400 in Gerrans Bay. Classes for all yachts, day boats, working boats, dinghies and windsurfers.

Shoreside there is live music, stalls, food, drink and for the sailors a free burger and hotdog and a pint served in The Harbour Club after racing.

Prize giving will be on the main stage outside the Plume of Feathers Pub, at approximately 1800.

Having spent all of last week sailing in on 2 boats that couldn’t be more different if they tried! We started the week on the lovely ‘Abigail Rose’ but with the sails from my own Falmouth Working Boat, ‘Rita’ which confused a few people! Then ended the week on my other boat, the mighty Corby 33 Snafu. What a pleasure sailing with all the crew last week and we are all delighted to come away with 1st place in IRC1 for the 3 day series. Unfortunately it was back to work with a bit of a bump today, after loading this latest superyacht tender for Cockwells we are now on the ferry heading for France with delivery to Nice scheduled for later this week.

Nearing the end of another busy week on the road.
