Build 070 this week - The crane base is being constructed and further pipework has been fitted to the bilge and ballast system. Welding continues throughout the boat, the rudder housings are being fitted and wheelhouse construction continues.

The Fair Isle Ferry and Infrastructure Replacement Project is funded by UK Government, Levelling Up Fund, with a grant of £26.8M and Shetland Islands Council providing £18.6M.

Build 067 this week - Construction and fitting of cabin furniture is well underway and work continues in the oilskin changing room, workshop, fish room, working deck and engine room. Further scaffolding and platforms are now in the wheelhouse to enable the next phase of its development. A range of welding, painting electrical, plumbing, mechanical and woodwork jobs continue throughout the boat.
