Hello - My name is Michelle and I started my own business in December 2021. I have worked in the travel industry for 20years, initially as an apprentice for a small Independent travel agency in Gidea Park. I then went on to work for Sandals and Beaches Resorts and then tackled the corporate world working for various Travel Management companies. I decided to take the leap in 2021 and become self em

ployed to get that work/life balance and to be able to be around for the school runs, nativities, appointments etc so I joined the Travel Counsellors Franchise to continue doing a job I love. Travel Counsellors was founded in 1994 and has over 2000 self employed Travel agents (our head office is based in Manchester), we have our own clients and run our business how we choose fit but with the support of our head office. We have access to IT support, direct contract suppliers and great booking tools. We are ATOL bonded and have our own financial trust meaning all finances are 100percent protected. - This does also mean that I only get paid once a trip has been and gone. You may ask but why use a travel agent in the day and age of the Internet when you can do everything online? The past few years have taught us a lot, so many people were let down by travel providers, with not getting the support they needed and refunds that were due back. Booking a package with a Travel Agent gives you that added level of protection, many Travel Counsellors worked so many hours unpaid during the pandemic getting people home, amending trips, refunding clients – and this level of support is not forgotten. When a booking is made with me I will be with you every step of the way without having to hang on to a call centre and being able to speak to a human when ever you need support. I will create a document pack for you, check you in online, check any entry requirements and make sure that your passports are all valid. I will be on hand via Whatsapp whilst you are in resort if you need any assistance at all and will provide a personal service. All itineraries I offer are bespoke tailor made suiting you and your requirements with access to direct contracts and destination management companies based in the countries that you are visiting. I can also book packages with the likes of Jet2 Holidays, Easyjet Holidays and other Tour operators. I am also trained in arranging business trips so am able to help with any of your companies travel arrangements.
