ROAD SAFETY is something that Tiger has actively engaged in again this month, through a number of initiatives and events:

✅ Tiger Ted and the Tiger Safety Team have gone out to more schools in our local community, taking along a large vehicle to bring our ‘STOP, LOOK, BE SEEN’ programme’s educational sessions to life even further.

✅ Year 6 students have also been busy visiting Tiger for the same life-saving lessons and also to see our factory and support functions up close - which has also given then some career inspiration.

✅ Safe cars and bicycles were promoted using fantastic resources from Brake, the road safety charity, and the Road Haulage Association brought their superb truck simulator to Tiger again – this time so that our budding apprentices could experience what it’s like to be behind the wheel of an HGV. Ice-scrapers, screenwash, and tyre tread gauges were provided for employees this winter.

Tiger’s apprentices have supported all of these road safety initiatives this month, bringing together two aspects that are close to the hearts of our directors and indeed all of our people.

Proud to have spent today with DKMS UK, supporting Blood Cancer Awareness Month. 84 Tiger employees were swabbed and added to the blood stem cell donor register, playing a part in helping this amazing charity in their mission to delete blood cancer. This week we are proud to welcome our 20 new apprentices who, as an important part of , will learn and develop with careers in automotive manufacturing for the diverse road transport sector as their goal. It’s a pleasure working closely with our partners Total People, and everyone from right across our business is looking forward to supporting and working with these young people over the coming months and years.

Tiger is committed to investing in developing skills for the future of the business, the local community, and the sector as a whole, so will be welcoming 12 apprentices in September 2025.

The apprentices will begin a 3-year qualification to become a 'Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician', which falls under the wider qualification of 'Manufacturing in the Automotive Sector'.

This is a significant investment for Tiger and an exciting opportunity to partner with The Manchester College and Total People, who share our passion for developing young people.

As Alison Cartwright our CSR Manager explains, trees are planted for each new-build trailer/rigid order placed with Tiger. That's thousands of new trees each year! The scheme benefits a range of countries, and our customers can specify that their trees are planted here in the UK. Once each year, a quantity of trees are also planted to match Tiger's employee base - that's roughly 275. This is just one of Tiger's many ESG initiatives. It's International Tiger Day and we're proud to have supported conservation of tigers in the wild by promoting Tigers4Ever.org, holding a raffle and raising over £1,000, and running humbling tiger facts on our TV screens throughout today 🐅 🧡 🙌 Visit https://tigers4ever.org/ for more info on the eye-opening work this charity does to support 'the icon' of animals.

A big 'thank you' to all of our employees, from the designer engineers and production guys to the PDI team and all other related specialisms, who produce these products for our customers.

AO's 20 new moving double deck LSTs from Tiger represent a further 10% capacity boost from the trailers we originally supplied in 2015, with 300 Tigers now on the electrical retailer's fleet 🐅

The company's £2m investment also includes 10 extra IVECO CNG truck units.

We’re privileged to have supported the charity Race Against Dementia at the British Grand Prix this weekend by wrapping their new awareness vehicle with an eye-catching livery designed by OPG Ltd, who we also collaborated with on the charity’s new stand.

The van showcases their incredible mobile Virtual Dementia Tour simulator, which enables people to experience what Dementia is like. Race Against Dementia, founded by Sir Jackie Stewart, raises funds for research in the race to find a prevention or treatment for hashtag , and is an official charitable partner of Formula 1.
