As many will know I sold my 490 last November and I have kept quiet as to the reasons why but I have had enough of staying quiet.

The beginning of February 2022 I purchased a V8 and dropped it off at Transport Solutions for it to be ready for Peterborough Truckfest 2022, a deal was made between myself and the Owner who I thought was a friend but no sooner was the deal made and the first chunk of money given to start the work the goal post were moved because of his own financial issues and the money that was being paid to his business was being swollowed up by the bank due to a bounce back loan issue ( not being paid )

So from that point on I was told not too pay him any money until he asked for it because he was unsure to whether the bank was gonna come in and close his business etc, when said owner asked for money for the work it was then being paid in to his personal account so the bank wouldn’t receive any money from his business, all while telling people that I couldn’t afford to pay him I had the money sat there but out of principle was a deal is broken no one is getting a penny.

Every truck from Peterborough 2022 I had been promised that my truck would be ready yet it still sat in the same position I’m currently sat at £40,000 out of pocket due to the lack of honesty and transparency from the owner of Transport Solutions where as if he had stuck to his end of the deal the V8 would of been on the road for Peterborough 2022 and he would of been paid off not long after.

The deal was £4000 upfront plus £1000 per week but no sooner had the deal started like stated the goal posts were moved. To this day the truck is still sat in his yard and been put back together in a fashion with everything I have paid for whic includes the following 4 air horns, top bar with 6 lights and 2 beacons, side pipe minus change over valve, suzie panel, 3 piece catwalk, chassis infills, 6 Bridgestone tyres, 2 brand new batteries the list goes on with the majority of now sitting on other trucks that have been in worked on and sent out.

Lost my operating license because of no financial standing, 2 CCJ’s for outstanding bills all while his business is still thriving

Wow what a year it has been can’t quite believe it’s been a year since I first started out as an owner driver an as much as it comes with it’s ups an downs I have loved every minute of it an look forward to expending the business in the future
