⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE – BATTERIES/VAPES MUST NOT BE PUT IN SKIPS ⚠️

We want to remind all of our customers that NO type of battery should ever be placed in one of our skips. Hiding batteries because you simply aren’t disposing of them safely could cost us or the site we use our whole business’s 🔋❌

This includes lithium batteries, car batteries, power-tool batteries, e-bike/e-scooter batteries, disposable vapes and ANY other battery-powered items containing a battery.

Batteries can become damaged, crushed or punctured while a skip is being loaded, transported or processed. This can cause them to overheat, spark or catch fire, putting our drivers, customers, vehicles, waste sites and members of the public at serious risk. 🔥

☀️ With the hot, dry weather we are currently experiencing, we need everyone to be especially careful. Waste and surrounding vegetation can be extremely dry and flammable, meaning one small battery fire has the potential to become a much more serious incident very quickly.

Please NEVER hide batteries underneath other waste. If you’re unsure whether something can go into your skip, please ask us before putting it in.

♻️ Batteries need to be disposed of separately through an appropriate battery recycling/disposal point.

🔥 ONE BATTERY CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS FIRE.
Please help us keep our staff, customers, equipment and local community safe.
