☀️ Not our words but this is 💯 what we as a coach company is battling this week. Copied from Orion Travel & Mayne Coaches, Manchester page☀️
With the temperatures climbing this week, we know exactly what’s coming…
📞 “Is the air conditioning working?”
📞 “It’s boiling on this coach!”
📞 “It feels like an oven in here!”
So we thought we’d explain why…
The simple answer is yes – our coaches are fitted with air conditioning, and our systems are regularly serviced and maintained. Like everything mechanical, they work incredibly well… until Mother Nature decides to turn the thermostat up to maximum!
Here’s something most people don’t realise…
Our vehicles can carry up to 55 passengers.
That’s 55 people, each producing body heat, all sitting inside one vehicle with huge panoramic windows and the sun beating down on the roof for hours at a time.
Unlike your car with two or three people inside, a coach has to cool a massive internal space while almost 55 people who are effectively acting as their own little radiators.
The air conditioning is working flat out, but there comes a point where physics simply wins. On days like these, it’s trying to keep up with an incredible amount of heat coming from both outside and inside the vehicle.
And while passengers might be feeling warm, spare a thought for our drivers…
They spend all day behind a windscreen big enough to qualify as a greenhouse, smiling through the heat while making sure everyone gets to their destination safely. If anyone deserves a cold drink this week, it’s them!
So, if your coach feels a little warmer than you’d like, please bear with us. We promise the air conditioning is doing everything it possibly can but it is also battling extreme conditions.
After all…
We’re all melting together! 🥵
Stay hydrated, be patient, and please be kind to our drivers and staff.
