The U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce that the maximum validity periods for all categories of nonimmigrant visas for Ghanaians have been restored to their previous lengths. The maximum validity allowed for the B1/B2 visitor visa is again five years, multiple entry. The maximum validity for the F1 student visa is again four years, multiple entry.

The United States government is committed to partnering with industry to deliver secure, full-stack AI export packages – including hardware, models, software, applications, and standards – to America’s friends and allies around the world.

Starting 7 April 2025, all U.S. visa applicants must bring their DS-160 visa application form with the confirmation/barcode number (starting with AA) that matches the one used to make their appointment online. If you don’t come with a barcode or the barcode does not match the application you used to book your appointment, you will not be interviewed. A missed interview means you must book a new appointment at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-zm/niv. Please double-check that the barcode number on your DS-160 form matches the one you used to schedule your appointment.
