How does the Ghana Standards Authority, intend for buyers who purchase vehicles through auction platforms such as Copart and IAAI to have a vehicle inspected and confirmed as compliant before purchasing it? Given that a significant number of vehicles imported into Ghana from USA are purchased through auctions, did the GSA consider this issue when designing the pre-shipment inspection requirement? If inspection is only possible after purchase, what protection or procedure is available to buyers who may purchase a vehicle that subsequently fails the GSA inspection?
