Above Qeqertarsuaq, the night sky tells its own story.✨

When the sky is clear, the Northern Lights dance across the sky, countless stars shine above, and the Milky Way stretches through the darkness. 🌌

A reminder that sometimes, the best views are simply found by looking up.

There is something special about walking through Qeqertarsuaq in autumn. 🍂 The landscape is changing day by day, with golden and brown colours spreading across the hills and around the town. With the colourful houses, mountains and open landscapes in the background, even an ordinary town walk becomes part of the adventure.🍁

No two icebergs are ever the same. 🧊

Around Qeqertarsuaq, we get to watch these giants drift through the bay, shaped by wind, water and time. Some stay for a while, others disappear almost as quickly as they arrived.

A reminder that out here, nature is always moving. 🌊

A little moment from one of Danny’s talks about our Greenlandic sled dogs🐕

With Bailey joining him in the first video, Danny shares some of the things that make this traditional breed so unique, from their natural strength and endurance to how they have been bred and raised for generations in the Arctic.

The Greenlandic sled dog is more than a working dog. It is a living part of Greenlandic culture and a tradition that continues today. 🐾

Yesterday, Danny was feeding the dogs while the icebergs drifted behind him. Then, one of the huge icebergs broke apart, turning an ordinary moment into something special.❄️

The male angelica plants are standing tall, with the first snow already covering the mountains behind them. 🌿🏔️

These flowering plants play an important role in nature, helping produce the seeds that bring new angelica to life next year. 🌱

⛰️ Disko Adventures is based in Qeqertarsuaq and run by Danny Mølgaard, Naja Bjerregaard and Steve Broberg. Together, they’re really putting their hometown on the map for adventure travel, using local knowledge and resources to show guests what makes this place special.

🧗 They may be young, but between the three founders and their guides, there’s no shortage of skills and experience. Several are trained mushers, and the team keeps finding new ways to explore Qeqertarsuaq, with a growing focus on human-powered adventures like ice climbing and kayaking. Whatever the activity, the aim is the same: a good, memorable experience where guests feel in safe hands.

🐋 And when you work in a place like Qeqertarsuaq, respect for your surroundings matters. The team keeps a safe and respectful distance from whales and takes time to share their knowledge of Greenland’s wildlife, nature and culture with their guests along the way.
