Kaddy and Jim,
I wish to thank you very much for your kind hospitality in my stay with you. I truly appreciate the support and assistance in recovering my luggage, and the particular effort made by Kaddy. The little package to see me thru for those 7 days while my luggage was recovered was life saving.
What stood out most was the personal attention and warm atmosphere — whether it was the genuine interest from the team when we returned from excursions, or the cozy dinners where you both joined us for a chat and a drink.
Omar was wonderful, his bird finding skills were exceptional and his knowledge of The Gambian birds was astounding. I am particularly grateful for the use of his shoulder while I lacked my tripod. I lent Omar one of my lenses and cameras for the period. He was shooting in raw and so was unable to process them. He took 2000 images and I am slowly working thru them and sending him a few every day on WhatsApp.
This was my first visit to the West African SaheI. I saw so many new bird species and ended up photographing 150 of which about 90 were new to me.
Finally, a huge thank you for this unforgettable week. You've created something truly special with BelGambia Lodge and your fantastic Senegambia Birding team.
