We were honoured to attend the New Year’s Reception 2026, jointly organised by the British Embassy in Athens and the British Hellenic Chamber of Commerce at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

As in previous years, representatives of SPEEDAIR were present to celebrate the long-standing bilateral cooperation between Greece and the United Kingdom — a partnership closely aligned with the mission and values of the BHCC.

The event brought together prominent members of the Greek business community, representatives of the Greek Government, and members of the press, offering an excellent opportunity for dialogue, networking, and the strengthening of international business ties.

We thank the organisers for a memorable evening and look forward to supporting similar initiatives in the future!

This year marked an important period of international engagement for SPEEDAIR, with key opportunities to reconnect with valued partners worldwide. A major highlight was our participation at the 19th JCTrans Global Freight Forwarders Conference in Dubai, held in late June 2025. Our company was represented by members of Management from both our Athens and Thessaloniki branches, who joined over 1,200 other industry professionals from 74 countries for three days of focused dialogue, networking, and market insight. The event offered a strong platform to reinforce existing relationships and explore new avenues for collaboration in a rapidly evolving global logistics landscape. We extend our appreciation to JCtrans for hosting a well-organized and impactful conference and look forward to building on the momentum created.

In 2024, Posidonia promised to host the largest and most versatile convergence of the international maritime community in its 50 year history — and it certainly delivered!
More than 2,000 exhibitors from 103 countries, joined by Greek shipowners and international industry leaders, were there to welcome over 40,000 visitors and have a collective discussion about the macroeconomic prospects of the maritime industry.
This year marked SpeedAir’s 3rd consecutive participation in this important event! Representatives from our experienced Marine Logistics & Ship Spares department were present to talk to clients, industry enthusiasts and the wider public about our unmatched portfolio of services and receive invaluable feedback. We’d be delighted to see you all again at Posidonia 2026!

SpeedAir has been officially certified as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO)!

As authorised customs brokers since 1986, we have built a long-lasting relationship with EU customs based on a mutual commitment to transparency, safety and security. In 2023, we make yet another active step to enhance this relationship and optimise the quality of our service offering to partners and clients by becoming AEO (AEOF)-certified. This certification endows us with certain benefits that include but are not limited to:

• Simplification of customs clearance procedures.
• Fewer physical security and documentation-based checks during the transportation of goods into or outside the EU customs community.
• Mutual recognition of the AEO certification and the benefits it provides by third countries with which the EU has forged a trading agreement (e.g USA, Canada, Japan, China, etc.).
• Prioritisation of checks and faster issuance of customs declaration forms.
• Advance notice ahead of an impending security or customs control check and the possibility for the Authorised Economic Operator to request the specific place where such check will occur.

The calamitous circumstances of the past few years proved utterly incapable of stifling the overflowing enthusiasm and optimism of the Global Maritime community for the future of shipping — this year’s return of Posidonia at the Metropolitan Expo was indubitably a resounding success, shattering all preceding records for size, attendance numbers, and quality. The number of exhibiting companies and overall participants at the event approximated 2,000 and 40,000, respectively, hinting at the possibility of subsequent events being even larger.

Naturally, SpeedAir could not be absent from this hallmark event for the shipping industry! We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the many representatives of our specialised marine logistics team who keenly welcomed participants and eagerly explained the extensive portfolio of services we provide to hundreds of visitors over the duration of the event. Participation at Posidonia is quickly becoming tradition for SpeedAir and we hereby pledge to be present in Posidonia 2024 as well!
