One night, every recipe on the island.
Every September, Sifnos gathers in Artemonas to cook together — a tradition older than most hotels. We're honoured to watch it happen every year.

It looks like it's floating over the bay. It nearly is.

Cascading across three levels in Skaloto, Sifnos- Villa Escape holds a main house, four guest houses, and an infinity pool suspended above unobstructed views. Cobblestone terraces, a hammam, a house built for twelve without ever feeling full.

On Sifnos, the day's menu isn't written until the morning market has spoken. Our private chefs shop first, cook second — building each meal around whatever the island's gardens, markets, and coastline offer that day. It's the way the island has always eaten, tracing back to Nikolaos Tselementes, the Sifnian chef who shaped modern Greek cooking.

A question we hear before almost every Sifnos stay.
'Can our chef cook with what's at the market that morning?' Always, on Sifnos especially, with capers, thyme honey and manoura cheese depending on what the fishermen bring in. We wrote the full piece on how a Greek villa kitchen actually works.

The pot on every Cycladic roof started here.
Sifnos has thrown clay since antiquity, potters once supplied half the Aegean by mule and boat. The workshops are fewer now; the hands haven't changed. This week, we visit one.

The first thing we place on arrival isn't a welcome note. It's this.
For every stay, our villas carry a small selection from — a Greek line we've trusted for years, chosen the same way we choose everything: for what it says about where you are.
A quiet collaboration, between two brands that believe in the same thing.
Save this for your next island stay — or tap through to see which villas carry it.

This August 28th, the Sturgeon Moon rises over Greece for one last summer act, made rarer this year by a partial lunar eclipse that will wash its face in copper light. To mark it, over a hundred archaeological sites across the country throw open their gates after sunset, free of charge — Delphi glowing beneath the Temple of Apollo, Ancient Olympia hosting torchlit tours, Mystras humming with music under its Byzantine walls. You don't need to be inside the ruins to feel it, though. A villa terrace works just as well. All the invitation asks is that you step outside and look up.

Which ancient site would you pick to watch the moon rise over ?
Let us know in the comments, or tag someone you'd bring along.
