Στη μνήμη του «Βοσκού» μας…

Σήμερα, η οικογένεια της Uncharted Escapes αποχαιρετά έναν άνθρωπο που υπήρξε κομμάτι της διαδρομής μας από την πρώτη κιόλας ημέρα.

Ο Γιάννης, «ο Βοσκός», όπως όλοι μας τον γνωρίζαμε και τον αποκαλούσαμε ήταν δίπλα μας από την ίδρυση της Uncharted Escapes, το 2013.

Για 13 χρόνια αποτέλεσε αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της πιο ιστορικής μας διαδρομής, «Explore the White Mountains of Crete». Στο μιτάτο του, στα 1.300 μέτρα υψόμετρο στα Λευκά Όρη, χιλιάδες επισκέπτες μας γνώρισαν ένα αυθεντικό κομμάτι της κρητικής ζωής. Και στην οικογενειακή του ταβέρνα, γεύτηκαν τη φιλοξενία, τις γεύσεις και τις παραδόσεις που έκαναν αυτή την εμπειρία τόσο ξεχωριστή.
Για εμάς όμως, ο Γιάννης δεν ήταν ποτέ απλώς ένας συνεργάτης. Ήταν μέρος της ιστορίας της Uncharted Escapes. Μέρος του ξεκινήματός μας.
Μέρος αμέτρητων ημερών στα βουνά και αναμνήσεων που δημιουργήσαμε μαζί με τους επισκέπτες μας.
Η ξαφνική απώλειά του μας γεμίζει βαθιά θλίψη.
Εκφράζουμε τα ειλικρινή μας συλλυπητήρια στην οικογένεια και στους αγαπημένους του ανθρώπους. Η σκέψη μας είναι μαζί τους αυτές τις δύσκολες στιγμές.

Καλό ταξίδι, αγαπημένε μας Γιάννη.
Για εμάς θα είσαι πάντα «ο Βοσκός».

Η θέση σου στη δική μας διαδρομή και στα βουνά που τόσα χρόνια εξερευνούσαμε μαζί θα μείνει για πάντα ξεχωριστή.

In Loving Memory of Giannis — “The Shepherd”

Today, the Uncharted Escapes family says goodbye to someone who has been part of our journey from the very beginning.

Giannis “The Shepherd,” as we all knew and called him, has been with us since the establishment of Uncharted Escapes in 2013.

For 13 years, he was an essential part of our signature “Explore the White Mountains of Crete” experience. At his shepherd’s hut, 1,300 metres high in the White Mountains, thousands of our guests were welcomed into a piece of authentic Cretan life. And at his family tavern, they experienced the hospitality, food and traditions that made this journey so special.
But for us, Giannis was never simply a collaborator. He was part of the story of Uncharted Escapes. Part of our beginnings.
Part of countless days in the mountains and countless memories shared with our guests.

His sudden loss leaves us deeply saddened.

Our sincere condolences go to his family and loved ones. Our thoughts are with them during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, dear Giannis.
For us, you will always be “The Shepherd.”

Your place in our journey and in the mountains we explored together will never be forgotten.

Η Uncharted Escapes αναζητά έναν έμπειρο και οργανωτικό Reservations & Operations Specialist για να ενταχθεί στην ομάδα των Κεντρικών Γραφείων μας στα Χανιά, για τις σεζόν 2026–2027, με δυνατότητα 12μηνης απασχόλησης και μακροχρόνιας επαγγελματικής εξέλιξης.
Αναζητούμε έναν επαγγελματία με προηγούμενη εμπειρία στον τουρισμό, τις κρατήσεις και το operations, με ικανότητα να εργάζεται με ακρίβεια και αποτελεσματικότητα σε ένα δυναμικό περιβάλλον.
Απαραίτητα προσόντα:
• Προϋπηρεσία σε κρατήσεις ή/και operations στον τουριστικό κλάδο
• Εμπειρία σε CRM/booking systems, Channel Managers και OTAs, όπως GetYourGuide, Viator κ.ά.
• Πολύ καλή γνώση Η/Υ και άνεση στη χρήση ψηφιακών συστημάτων
• Πολύ καλή γνώση Ελληνικών & Αγγλικών, γραπτά και προφορικά
• Ισχυρές οργανωτικές, συντονιστικές και επικοινωνιακές ικανότητες
• Ικανότητα διαχείρισης κρατήσεων, διαθεσιμοτήτων, transportation lists και καθημερινών operations

• Ικανότητα ιεράρχησης εργασιών και αποτελεσματικής διαχείρισης πίεσης

Uncharted Escapes is looking for an experienced and highly organized Reservations & Operations Specialist to join our Central Office team in Chania, Crete, for the 2026–2027 seasons, with the opportunity for year-round employment and long-term career development.
We are looking for a professional with previous experience in tourism, reservations and operations, who can work accurately and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Key requirements:
• Previous experience in tourism reservations and/or operations
• Experience with CRM/booking systems, Channel Managers and OTAs such as GetYourGuide, Viator, etc.
• Very good computer skills and confidence working with digital systems
• Excellent command of Greek & English, written and spoken
• Strong organizational, coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage reservations, availability, transportation lists and daily tour operations
• Attention to detail, accuracy and punctuality
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure
• Team spirit combined with a responsible and solution-oriented approach
