During their visit, they were introduced to the philosophy, services, and equipment of Furuno. Moreover, the students had the opportunity to explore our innovative technologies and experience our state-of-the-art systems firsthand.

Yesterday, May 31, 2026, FURUNO HELLAS employees participated in the Posidonia Running Event 2026. This marked our first participation in this special 5 km race 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️, held as part of Posidonia 2026, highlighting the importance of Piraeus within the global shipping 🚢 community.

The event was a great opportunity for our team to come together, reflecting our commitment to employee wellbeing and community engagement. Proceeds from the event support the Municipality of Piraeus and its charity partners.

Furuno Hellas is proud to receive highly positive feedback from Capt. Petros Touliatos, MTM/OPS Navigation and Cargo Officer at Maran Tankers, following the successful start of the TELSCOPE electronic logbook system implementation across the fleet.

According to Capt. Touliatos, TELSCOPE thanks to its web-based applications and offline capabilities provide a user-friendly design, enabling the crew to work with the vessel’s logbook from onboard workstations as well as wireless devices such as tablets and other mobile units.

Smart event management functions have significantly reduced officers’ recording workload and improved operational efficiency onboard. Officers particularly appreciate the reduction of administration, the ease of searching past events, and the flexibility to access records from multiple onboard locations.

Capt. Touliatos also highlighted that officers became comfortable with the system remarkably quickly, with many ready to transition away from traditional hard-copy logbooks only after a short period of use.

TELSCOPE supports all SOLAS and MARPOL books, MTM is currently using electronic deck logbooks, engine logbooks, GMDSS logs, ORB records, and digital checklists while ensuring secure storage both onboard and in the cloud.

We highly appreciate our cooperation with Maran Tankers throughout this project. Their professional and structured approach to implementing TELSCOPE has been instrumental in the successful rollout on board approximately 50 existing vessels and 12 newbuilds.
