⚠️ The most common stern mooring mistake doesn't happen during docking... it happens BEFORE you reach the berth.

How prepared are your stern lines before the maneuver begins?

Using double stern lines provides greater security, better control, and more options when conditions are less than ideal.

⚓ Before approaching the berth:

✔️ Rig two stern lines from each stern cleat
✔️ Lead them outside all rails and stanchions
✔️ Coil them neatly for smooth deployment
✔️ Keep them clear of propellers and steering gear

Why use double stern lines?

➖ Added redundancy if one line slips or parts
➖ Better stern control in wind and current
➖ Reduced shock loads by sharing the strain
➖ More flexibility when adjusting your position
