I had been told by someone previously while sailing in the Ionian that Nisos were the M&S of charter companies. Tbh at the time I remember thinking "that's nice but honestly how different could it be to all the others?" I now have my answer, which is chalk and cheese! We have chartered from Lefkas before using Sunsail and also Istion. Both are similar, both are fine, Nisos is something very different. The boats are immaculate, not the basic spec I have come to expect but genuine owner boats, as I would spec myself with all the features you would wish for. The service though is the real eye opener. Did you know that you could be looked after by a bunch of spectacularly attentive and knowledgeable lovely people for your whole trip? You don't turn up at an office, sign reams of paper, hand over your credit card and then get a perfunctory show around before you're sent on your way. With Nisos, you are collected from the airport, taken to a hotel where you can sit and enjoy the restaurant/bar with Nisos-supplied fresh towels. They then transport you to the local supermarket for your victualling; you then get a very thorough show around your boat and head off that evening when you're ready. Same when you return, you are looked after with everything all sorted, including your onward travel at your convenience. I can't see us ever using another company now; Nisos are not so much M&S as Rolls Royce as far as I can see.

Phenomenal week sailing with Nisos around the Ionian
July 2026

I cannot recommend highly enough (and I’m massively fussy!) We just had the most fantastic family holiday sailing around the Ionian. We loved swimming in the turquoise waters and enjoying fantastic food in the most picturesque places, safe in the hands of the ultimate professional - skipper Rich.
Even I couldn’t find fault anywhere – from the helpful advice from Rowan when booking in the UK about which boat to take, the efficient airport meet, the friendly welcome from Kate and the team at the base hotel, even the lovely man who took us shopping for supplies all before we even got to the boat.
The boat was scrupulously clean and looked very smart and well maintained. The welcome pack came with all the boring bits you forget to buy and the linen and towels all felt new and nice. The glassware and crockery was so nice that I was almost tempted to pop it in my suitcase. I’m not boaty, but I thought the layout of the boat was very comfortable with the main cabin surprisingly large and all bedrooms air conditioned.
Our skipper Rich was extraordinary - extraordinarily competent and extraordinarily nice. A true professional. He took us to the most beautiful coves in the day to swim, paddle board, snorkel or visit beach bars. He gave us the opportunity to help him sail in the afternoons when the wind got up (enough wind for an exhilarating sail, not enough to terrify this non sailor!) Every evening was another gorgeous stop, complete with excellent restaurant bookings and a wonderfully flat sea.
Rich always gave us options to ensure we got the holiday we wanted; from the route, to the food choices, to what time we wanted to be up and about each morning. Not only could he park our big boat on a sixpence, but he was fantastic with our teenagers and easy - a genuine joy to be around. The whole Nisos experience is wonderful, beautiful boats, very nice people – they are a truly professional family outfit which go beyond to ensure you have the best holiday you can.
Absolutely will be booking again…

We have just returned from an incredible two-week sailing holiday with Nisos; it is clear why they are the absolute gold standard in the South Ionian. What truly sets them apart is their attention to detail—all the little 1% things they do add up to an unforgettable, flawless holiday. The entire Nisos operation is run like a family, and that warmth shines through in every interaction across the team.

From the very beginning, Rowan made the booking process incredibly smooth and easy. Arriving in Greece was just as seamless, thanks to a wonderful greeting from Bridget right at the airport.

The yachts themselves were immaculate, maintained to a high standard, and finished to a noticeably high specification.

A special mention must go to the incredible support provided to Tom and Daisy, the new Assisted Bareboat Charter (ABC) leads. The morning briefings, knowledgeable lunch stop suggestions, and the overall guidance we received was superb. They were so helpful and accommodating, and always on hand at the end of every day to assist with mooring up, taking all the stress out of the afternoons.

"Our fourth time with Nisos on the assisted bareboat charter on the beautiful new boat Cafe Bleu. We have sailed bareboat before but have never wanted to go in a large flotilla. The assisted bareboat gives the best of both worlds. Help with planning and docking if you want it but with the feeling of independence and freedom which you get with bareboat. It also means you can get to your overnight stay later as your space is reserved by the lead crew which is a real positive as the winds often pick up in the afternoon. Once again this year the crew in the lead boat were excellent with some great recommendations for lunch stops. On arrival the whole team at Nisos are like a family. Everyone is so helpful. Any issues with the boats are sorted straight away. All the boats we have had have been immaculately maintained. The other real advantage with Nisos is that you don’t have to fill up the diesel on return. I have chartered boats before where we have spent most of the last day queuing to fill up and one charter company even insisted that we return the boats before where to the marina for the last night. "Absolutely wonderful holiday. Did a lot of research into a sailing holiday in Greece and spoke to many companies. Rowan at Nisos was wonderfully friendly and very knowledgeable. The price you are quoted is the price you pay with no extras to add. Transfers were arranged for a local fee and we were met at the airport by Brigitte from Nisos who ensured this was a seamless process. On arrival, we were met by Kate who explained the process for getting our yacht for the week. As we were on an early flight, we had an afternoon at a local hotel with use of the pool and Alex and his transport to take us to a local mini market to shop for supplies. These were then stored by the shop and delivered to the boat at 5.30 pm once we were aboard. Having been fully briefed, we were then free to leave that evening and start exploring. Laurie was on call for anything at any time, which was perfect. The disembarkation was as effortless and very relaxed. We chose to return on the Saturday evening but could equally have been back by 8.30 am on Sunday morning when the boat was due to be returned. Another local transfer was arranged, and if you had a later flight, the hotel bar area and pool were again available for use. Overall, all 4 of us were extremely impressed with everything about this company, and the boat was fantastic. "Another amazing week with Nisos on board "Monte Rosa". From the moment we were collected from our overnight stay in Nydri we were treated like VIPs. The service from Kate, Laurie, Brian and the team is exceptional. A special mention to Tom and Daisy as the lead ABC crew for their help and guidance during the week, making it entirely stress-free.

Monte Rosa is a joy to sail and perfect for two couples with two large cabins and two heads. We had some great afternoon winds up to F5 and she coped well with them.
