Ο Δρυός το 1958–1959. Μια εικόνα από την αρχή του τουρισμού στην Πάρο.
Πανοραμική άποψη της κεντρικής παραλίας του Δρυού, με τους νεώσοικους στην άκρη της παραλίας, η οποία τότε ήταν κατά μεγάλο μέρος καλυμμένη με άμμο.
Στην αμμουδιά διακρίνονται τα δίχτυα του μπαρμπα-Γιάννη Αγούρου, ομπρέλες και καθίσματα για τους λουόμενους, ενώ αριστερά έχουν τοποθετηθεί σε απόσταση τραπέζια και πάνινες πολυθρόνες.
Ανήκαν στο εστιατόριο που είχε αρχίσει να λειτουργεί εκείνη την εποχή, το 1958–1959, όπως και ο τουριστικός ξενώνας στη Φάμπρικα της Εταιρείας Ελληνικών Σπουδών.
Σύμφωνα με το αρχικό κείμενο, αυτή η φωτογραφία αποτελεί την πρώτη τουριστική προβολή του Δρυού από τη ΧΑΝ.
Ένα μικρό παράθυρο στον Δρυό πριν από σχεδόν 70 χρόνια. Πολύ πριν γίνει η Πάρος ο προορισμός που γνωρίζουμε σήμερα. 🇬🇷🌊

Drios in 1958–1959. A glimpse into the very beginning of tourism on Paros.
This panoramic photograph shows the main beach of Drios, with the traditional boat shelters at the edge of the shore, which at the time was still largely covered in sand.
On the beach, you can see the fishing nets of local fisherman Yiannis Agouros, together with umbrellas and chairs for swimmers. To the left, tables and canvas armchairs had been placed along the beachfront.
They belonged to the restaurant that had begun operating there around 1958–1959, alongside the tourist guesthouse at Fabrika run by the Society of Greek Studies.
According to the original text, this photograph marked the first tourism promotion of Drios by HAN.
A little window into Drios nearly 70 years ago, long before Paros became the destination we know today. 🇬🇷🌊
