🚠 NEW FOR SANTORINI CRUISE VISITORS: A REAL CABLE CAR PRIORITY FAST LANE

After years of confusion around “skip-the-line” cable-car claims, there is now a genuine Priority Lane at the Santorini Cable Car.

This is not the ordinary online cable-car ticket. The new service uses a separate blue Priority ticket and gives passengers access to a dedicated Priority Lane instead of the standard passenger queue.

Santoriginal Tours can now arrange Cable Car Priority Access as an add-on to an eligible private Santorini tour or shore excursion.

You can choose Priority Access for:

🔹 Arrival: Fira Old Port up to Fira
🔹 Return: Fira down to the Old Port
🔹 Both directions

The current price is €66 per person, per direction, including agency handling. The same rate applies to adults and children.

Priority Access does not promise absolutely zero waiting, as cable-car operations remain subject to passenger loading, safety, weather and technical conditions. Its purpose is to give you access to the dedicated Priority Lane rather than relying on the regular passenger queue.

We also do not recommend it automatically for every cruise visitor. Depending on your ship, arrival time, number of passengers in port and group size, the regular cable car or a private water taxi may still make more sense.

Today in Santorini, local travel agencies and transport professionals took part in a strike connected to the new cruise passenger-flow rules affecting the island.

We want to say this clearly: this was not against cruise guests, and it was not against cruise ships.

Cruise visitors are welcome in Santorini. They bring life to the island, support many local families and businesses, and for many travelers, this stop is a dream they have waited years to experience.

The real issue is access.

Santorini needs a better cruise plan: clear information, safe time slots, organized meeting areas, fair access, and more ways to spread visitors around the island.
