Daco Heavy Lift is currently involved in a highly demanding mining project deep in the Amazon jungle.
The scope includes the transport of six gensets, each weighing 150 tons. A true logistical challenge from start to finish.
Operations begin with the transloading of the units from an ocean vessel onto a landing craft in port, followed by a complex multimodal journey combining river and ocean transport. The cargo is then rolled off at a remote landing point deep in the jungle.
From there, the real challenge begins: navigating extremely poor and waterlogged earth roads to reach the final site. The operation continues with the precise unloading and jack-and-slide positioning of the units onto their foundations.
Another challenging adventure for our team, and a project still in progress, proving once again that no terrain is too remote and no logistics challenge too complex.
