Checked out the island, found the clearest island water in the world, and explored the local side of town.

We’re glad to be home for four short nights before heading out to the next destination of the summer… time to pack the coats and gloves…

We’re still alive and making our way through…
🌊⛱️🏝️THE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS🏝️⛱️🌊

We flew overnight from LA to Tampa Florida almost 8 days ago now. There we boarded a boat and have been sailing around the Caribbean. We have just a little over a week left of travel as we switch boats tomorrow, and explore the eastern side of the Caribbean.

We have been busy visiting a few new countries, and exploring a couple of old favorites:

-COSTA MAYA-
We enjoyed time in the pier and ventured through the markets. It was a bit warm (much like Oklahoma presently I hear) so we decided to enjoy some time back onboard for the afternoon.

-HONDURAS-
A new country for both of us. We were actually on the small island of Roatan, where tourism is the major livelihood of the residents. We got off and exited the port and found (just by happy accident), a local guide named Herbie. He took us to the downtown area and told us a lot of history about the island and it’s people. He also explained a lot of the local sites, including a shipwreck from many years ago. We got to view the shipwreck from land as Herbie explained to the stories… it’s a cool place and we’re excited to return and experience some of the more jungle locations on the island.

-BELIEZE-
Well, actually, we needed a rest day and enjoyed the views of believes from the ship. It’s a 30 minute tender ride and each direction just to reach the main part of the island from the boat, so we opted to stay on board. It made for some nice views of the island and some quiet time on board the ship while everyone else was away.

-COZUMEL-
Arguably the finest Caribbean cruise port in the world… We have a particular fondness for the island and enjoy many of its beaches and resorts. Our favorite is Nachi! Quiet pools, beachfront access, and delicious food… What more could you ask for?

Our final stop before wrapping up our West Coast cruise adventure was beautiful Ensenada, Mexico! 🇲🇽 this was a first for us and we LOVED it!

We spent the day wandering through the historic downtown streets, browsing local shops, and soaking up the atmosphere that reminded us of the small villages in Italy.

THE highlight was finding a tiny, no-frills taco shop that's been serving up authentic tacos for over 90 years. It was the definition of a hole-in-the-wall spot, and easily one of the best meals of the trip! 🌮

After a great day exploring, we sailed back to Los Angeles, marking the end of one incredible cruise.
But the adventure wasn't over...

We hopped on an overnight flight to Tampa, grabbed a little sleep where we could, and now we're officially onboard the next cruise! 🚢 Next stop: the Caribbean! 🌴☀️

🌊☀️ Off to Cabo San Lucas! ☀️🌊

Our cruise has docked in Cabo! We went ashore and hopped aboard a small charter boat and headed out onto the sparkling waters where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. The views were incredible, and the wildlife certainly put on a show!

A few of today’s highlights (plus some history research) include:

🪨 Land’s End & El Arco — These dramatic rock formations mark the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula. Carved by wind and waves over thousands of years, El Arco has become one of Mexico’s most recognizable natural landmarks.

🦭 Sea Lions Colony — We cruised past a colony of sleepy sea lions lounging on the rocks

✨ Jumping Sting Rays — One of the most unexpected sights of the day! We watched several sting rays launch themselves clear out of the water, creating quite the spectacle.

🐠 Reef Fish — The clear waters around Cabo are home to a colorful variety of reef fish. We spotted schools swimming beneath the glass bottom boat as we explored the coastline.

🌊 The Meeting of Two Seas — Cabo sits where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez converge. We saw the small beach that separates the two.

We’re off to our next summer adventure location! Will update in a few days!

🎆A PERFECT DISNEYLAND DAY🎇

On June 18, we celebrated Chap’s birthday at Disneyland in California. This visit means that both of us have now experienced every Disney park in the world, and for Chap, all of them in the last 365 days.

During the day we visited both parks, and the weather was perfect as we rode all the rides and ate all the food. Crowds were low. June might just be the perfect time to visit.
We started the day bright and early to be some of the first enter park number one.

Disneyland is still home to some of the best rides in the world and some of the best eats as well… Below are a few of our favorites!

🍪🥪🌮RANKED FOOD🍿🥤🍗
6/10- Grilled beef and chicken skewers
Good flavor, but on the tough side.

8/10- Plain Butter Popcorn
After our time away from the US, it was nice to enjoy some popcorn that wasn’t flavored like shrimp or soy sauce.😂

7/10- Buffalo chicken sandwich on a beignet bun
This could’ve been incredible, but what we got was kind of cold. It was served with mac & cheese and a homemade onion and pepper pickle mix. The onions and peppers were the star of the show.

8/10- Ronto Wrap
This is a pita bread with coleslaw, sliced pork, and a smoked sausage.
A Disney exclusive and overall pretty good.

6/10- Carne Asada street fries
Pretty good overall, but the texture of the meat was a little weird for the both of us.

9/10- Chocolate Croissant Cookie
The best sweet of the day… a chocolate stuffed croissant smashed and grilled with a sugar coating.

7/10- Fried Cheddar Stick
Fairly standard fair food. Chunk of cheddar, battered in a funnel cake type mix and deep-fried!

10/10- Birria Brisket grilled cheese
Easily the best thing we ate all day… A must if you’re going to the parks! Comes with a side of homemade kettle chips and a cup of the broth.

DISNEYLANDS BEST RIDES:
🪨Indiana Jones- a high speed jeep expedition
🐭Mickey and Minnie’s Railway- the only ride in the world that features Mickey and his pals
🏔️Matterhorn- a rough bobsled ride though the Swiss alp
🚗 Radiator Speings Racers- a car ride though the movie Cars, that ends in a race to the finish
🗼And the best of all- Guardians: Mission Breakout
This is a drop sequence ride theme to the Guardians of the Galaxy… the ride makes so much more sense now that we’ve seen the movies😂😂

We will be in and out of service over the next three weeks as a sale across most of the southern Caribbean.
