🚢🌱 A greener, smarter ocean giant is getting ready to set sail!
YUAN HAI SI LU, equipped with the world’s first digital ship delivery system, has officially been named in Yangzhou.
The numbers alone are impressive:
📏 Length: 339.9 meters
⚓ Deadweight: 325,000 tons
But this vessel is about much more than size. Built to meet CCS i-Ship smart vessel standards, YUAN HAI SI LU is equipped with panoramic situational awareness, safety warning, and intelligent decision-support systems, helping make navigation smarter and safer. 🧠🌊
Its cargo capacity has also been significantly upgraded. Compared with conventional ore carriers of the same type, its hold capacity is over 40% larger, enabling full-load transportation of both iron ore and lower-density bauxite. An optimized hull design also enhances its ability to operate in the challenging wind and wave conditions of the mid- and high-latitude Indian Ocean. 📦
On the sustainability front, the vessel meets the IMO EEDI Phase 3 energy-efficiency standard and can flexibly adjust the mix of green methanol and conventional fuel, supporting different stages of the shipping industry’s decarbonization journey. 🌿

Following a mudslide at Gyirong Port in Xizang on August 26, COSCO SHIPPING activated an emergency logistics response to move relief supplies along the 800 km route from Lhasa to Gyirong.🚛
By August 27, 16 trucks loaded with around 260 tons of relief goods (tents, bedding) and heavy machinery (excavators) were dispatched via continuous transit. The first 8 trucks have delivered supplies to the site, with the remaining fleets arriving on schedule. Our team remains on 24-hour standby to support ongoing transport needs.

🤝 Delivering more than cargo—supporting communities when it matters.
Recently, Peru’s National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI) held a humanitarian aid handover and recognition event in Lima, where COSCO SHIPPING Lines Peru was specially commended for its coordination, facilitation, and logistics support during a recent humanitarian relief shipment.
The supplies were donated by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and included prefabricated shelters, tents, solar-powered lamps, and other emergency materials to support local disaster preparedness, relief, and emergency resettlement. ⛺️☀️
To ensure efficient delivery, COSCO SHIPPING developed an integrated logistics solution covering the entire journey—from warehouse pickup and port operations to ocean transportation, destination-port handling, inland transport, and final delivery to the designated warehouse. 🚢🚛
After 11 days, the supplies successfully arrived in Peru from UNHCR’s warehouse in Central America. ❤️💙

💨🌊Into the Furious Fifties, where rough seas and extreme weather put every voyage to the test.
Our 62,000 DWT multipurpose vessel COSCO SHIPPING JIXIANG has successfully completed a transport mission for a 100 MW gas-turbine power plant project in Ushuaia, Argentina (54°48′S), one of the world’s southernmost ports.🏔
The vessel also set a new record as the largest-tonnage ship ever to berth at the Port of Ushuaia, carrying a diverse mix of heavy-lift cargo, containers, and construction materials in ton bags.🏗️📦
Extreme cold and limited port facilities created significant operational challenges, while timely delivery was essential to keeping the power plant project on schedule.
Our project team planned every step in advance—from vessel deployment and route selection to berthing and unloading. By working closely with multiple parties and seizing a precious weather window, the team safely completed unloading and delivery with zero errors in about ten days.✅
