國泰航空設於香港國際機場的「寰宇堂」頭等貴賓室重新開幕,以全新設計進一步提升尊尚體驗。貴賓室將於2026年4月22日正式重投服務,並已率先揭幕,標誌國泰航空全球貴賓室升級計劃邁向新階段。

「寰宇堂」頭等貴賓室位於一號客運大樓東翼,自1998年啟用以來一直是國泰航空地面服務的重要一環。是次翻新延續與StudioIlse的合作,融合當代設計與家居般舒適感,同時提升空間規劃、餐飲體驗及私隱度。貴賓室選用綠瑪瑙、胡桃木及花崗岩等材質,配合全新訂製傢具及燈光設計。

中央設有採光充足的「中庭園」,提供全日餐飲選擇及自助輕食,選項會隨不同時段而有所變化;「饌薈廳」則供應亞洲及環球單點美食,菜單以季節為靈感,包括與「卅二公館」合作的中式菜式。

在健康設施方面,原有的「浴泉居」已改為「悠然軒」及更完善的淋浴設施。這項改動令淋浴間數目增加至12間,空間更寬敞,並配備先進水療及燈光技術,提升整體體驗。

「悠然軒」設有私人按摩空間,並提供「寰宇堂」頭等貴賓室專屬的輪換式季節療程。頭等客艙乘客以及國泰鑽石卡會員均可透過國泰應用程式於48小時前預約服務。

此外,「閱覽間」提供獨立工作空間,「恬逸閣」則設多用途私人座位,進一步提升私隱與舒適度。

貴賓室亦設有名為「The 18」的隱秘專屬空間,入口低調,僅供國泰頭等客艙乘客及邀請制鑽石尊尚卡(Diamond Plus)會員使用,更多詳情將稍後公布。

國泰集團行政總裁林紹波表示,「『寰宇堂』頭等貴賓室一直在我們及顧客心中佔著特別的地位,其重開是國泰旗艦貴賓室設計發展的重要里程碑,充分體現集團對以人為本的堅持。」

是次升級延續早前香港及北京貴賓室的翻新工程,國泰亦將於今年稍後在紐約開設全新貴賓室。「寰宇堂」商務貴賓室將暫停服務進行翻新,並預計於2027年重新開放。

Cathay Pacific has unveiled its redesigned flagship lounge, The Wing, First at Hong Kong International Airport, ahead of its reopening on 22 April 2026, marking a new phase in its global lounge enhancement plan.

Located in Terminal 1 and first opened in 1998, the lounge has been reimagined with StudioIlse, combining contemporary design with residential comfort while enhancing privacy, dining and overall customer experience. The refreshed space introduces updated materials including green onyx, walnut wood and granite flooring, alongside new custom furniture and lighting.

At its centre is a light-filled Atrium with a bar and all-day dining options, complemented by a Pantry for self-serve selections. A separate Dining Room offers à la carte service with Asian and international dishes, including Chinese cuisine developed with Mott 32.

In an enhancement to its wellness offering, the former cabanas have been transformed into The Retreat alongside an expanded suite of upgraded shower facilities. This change has enabled Cathay Pacific to introduce 12 spacious, well-appointed shower suites featuring advanced water and lighting technologies for a more refined and personalised experience.

The Retreat features private massage booths, including a rotating seasonal treatment exclusive to The Wing, First. First class passengers, along with Cathay Diamond and Diamond Exec members, can reserve treatments through the Cathay app up to 48 hours in advance.

Privacy and comfort are further elevated with The Bureau, a fully enclosed workspace, and The Alcove’s versatile multipurpose booths for relaxation, dining or work.

An additional private space within the lounge known as The 18, features a discreet entrance. This retreat is reserved for Cathay first class passengers and invite-only Diamond Plus members, with further details to be announced.

Cathay Group CEO Ronald Lam said: “The Wing, First has long held a special place in not only our hearts, but also our customers’. Its reopening marks an important milestone in the evolution of our flagship lounge design and reflects our long-standing commitment to putting people at the heart of everything we do."

The upgrade follows recent lounge revamps in Hong Kong and Beijing, with a new New York lounge set to open later this year. The Wing, Business will close for renovation and is expected to reopen in 2027.

擴建後的二號客運大樓(T2)離港設施將於 5 月 27 日正式啟用,大樓內部以「年輕化」及「科技感」為設計理念的設施細節亦首度曝光。為提升落客區與登記大堂之間的效率,機場將引入全球首創的重力傳送系統「天際滑梯」(SkySlide)*。

「天際滑梯」嵌入大樓入口的坡道空間,旨在打破傳統步道的速度限制。透過精密設計的垂直流向方案,旅客可直接從落客區「無縫滑行」至新一代智能登記櫃檯,全程僅需 5 秒。此項低能耗、高效率的革新設計,將配合首階段進駐 T2 的 15 間航空公司,旨在於暑假外遊高峰期大幅提升客運大樓的運力及效率。

Hong Kong International Airport’s Terminal 2 (T2) passenger departure facilities will begin operation on 27 May. Ahead of the commissioning, new details have emerged regarding the terminal’s “vibrant” and “trendy” design, featuring the world-first SkySlide*. This gravity-powered transit system is designed to eliminate the speed constraints of traditional vertical connectivity between the departures drop-off and the smart check-in concourse, to enhance operational efficiency.

Integrated directly into the entrance ramp, the SkySlide delivers a frictionless, 5-second transit from the drop-off to the bag-drop aisles. This low-emission, high-throughput innovation is strategically timed to support the 15 airlines transitioning to T2 ahead of the summer peak.

Operational trials for the SkySlide commence today, 1 April 2026.

根據國際航空運輸協會(IATA)最新公布的油價數據,截至 2026年3月20日當周,全球航空燃油平均價格為每桶197美元,較2026年3月6日當周的每桶157.41美元有所增加。在2026年2月20日當周,每桶價格為95.95美元。

燃油成本於2025年佔國泰航空總成本約三成,對營運至關重要。燃油附加費是航空公司緩解及彌補部分燃油成本上升的一項重要機制。

因此,由2026年4月1日開始:

• 短途航班:由290元加至389元
• 中途航班:由541元加至725元
• 長途航班:由1,164元加至1,560元

為更靈活應對航空燃油價格的急劇變化,燃油附加費將改為每兩周檢視一次,以更有效反映航空燃油價格上升或下跌的變化。

According to the latest price data published by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global average jet fuel price increased to US$197.00 per barrel for the week ending 20 March 2026, increasing from US$157.41 per barrel for the week ending 6 March 2026, and US$95.95 per barrel for the week ending 20 February 2026.

Fuel accounted for approximately 30% of Cathay Pacific’s total operating costs in 2025 and is critical to its operations. Fuel surcharge is an important mechanism to mitigate and recover a portion of its incremental fuel costs.

Starting 1 April 2026, for tickets purchased in Hong Kong:

• Short haul: HK$389 (up from HK$290)
• Medium haul: HK$725 (up from HK$541)
• Long haul: HK$1,560 (up from HK$1,164)

To enable a more agile response to the volatile jet fuel prices, Cathay Pacific will review and revise the fuel surcharge every two weeks to better capture jet fuel price movements in either upward or downward direction.

國泰顧客及商務總裁劉凱詩表示:「2026年首兩個月表現令人鼓舞,受農曆新年旅遊高峰的推動,1月份的穩健勢頭延續至2月,於2月14日更創下集團單日載客量新高,接載約128,000名乘客。在2月,國泰航空和香港快運合共載客超過320萬人次,較去年同期上升24%。

「踏入3月,全球地緣政治局勢急劇轉變,導致客貨流均出現意外變化,航空燃油價格亦大幅急升。我們已因應中東最新局勢,直至2026年4月30日,暫停國泰航空往返杜拜及利雅得的客運航班,以及國泰貨運前往杜拜及利雅得的貨機航班。由於中東地區部分空域關閉,旅客紛紛更改行程,我們已於3月加開往返倫敦的額外航班,並提供更多往返蘇黎世的機位,以滿足歐洲航線的需求上升。我們正密切留意局勢發展,並保持靈活應對。」

Cathay Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau said: “The first two months of 2026 have got off to an encouraging start with the solid momentum seen in January continuing into February, driven by the Lunar New Year travel peak. In addition to setting a new single-day passenger record by carrying around 128,000 passengers as a Group on 14 February, our passenger airlines Cathay Pacific and HK Express together carried more than 3.2 million passengers during the month, up 24% from the same period last year.

“Turning to March, the global geopolitical environment is volatile and this is causing unexpected shifts in passenger and cargo traffic flows as well as a significant increase in the price of jet fuel. In view of the current situation in the Middle East, we have temporarily suspended Cathay Pacific’s passenger flights as well as Cathay Cargo’s freighter services to Dubai and Riyadh up to and including 30 April 2026. As customers prioritise alternative travel routes due to airspace closures in the Middle East, we have added extra flights to London and provided additional capacity to Zurich in March to cater for a surge in demand for Europe. We are monitoring the situation closely and will remain agile in our response.”

鑑於中東地區局勢的最新發展,航空燃油價格自3月以來已上漲接近一倍,至超過160美元一桶。

國泰航空今日(12日)宣布,將於3月18日起根據現行既定機制調整客運燃油附加費,加幅超過一倍。

• 短途航班:由142元加至290元
• 中途航班:由264元加至541元
• 長途航班:由569元加至1,164元

早前國泰公佈全年業績,財務總裁沈碧嘉 (Rebecca Sharpe) 提到今年國泰的燃油對沖已達30% ,會繼續按照既有機制進行對沖,以減低油價波動對營運成本帶來的影響。

不過由於航空燃油市場小導致成本極高,國泰對沖以原油為主。因為目前原油提煉成航空燃油的煉油利差極高,因此無法完全抵消航空燃油價格的升幅。

In view of the developing situation in the Middle East, jet fuel prices have nearly doubled since March, climbing to over US$160 per barrel.

In response, Cathay Pacific announced today that it will adjust its passenger fuel surcharges starting 18 March. Under the airline’s established fuel surcharge mechanism, fees across all routes will increase by more than 100%. For tickets purchased in Hong Kong:

• Short haul: HK$290 (up from HK$142)
• Medium haul: HK$541 (up from HK$264)
• Long haul: HK$1,164 (up from HK$569)

Following the recent announcement of the Group’s annual results, CFO Rebecca Sharpe noted that the airline has hedged approximately 30% of its fuel requirements for the year. This remains part of its long-standing policy to hedge a percentage of expected fuel consumption to reduce exposure to fuel price risk.

However, as jet fuel hedging options are limited and costly, Cathay primarily uses crude oil for its hedging activities. Due to current high refining margins, the cost of processing crude into jet fuel is around US$20 per barrel. Crude oil hedging can only provide partial protection and cannot fully offset the surge in jet fuel prices.

國泰集團2025年全年業績反映其「重建與投資」階段的圓滿完成,並連續三年實現穩健的財務表現。集團錄得應佔溢利108億港元,以及破紀錄的1,168億港元收益。

集團連續三年平均每年錄得史無前例的100億港元溢利,成功彌補了其80年歷史中最艱難的三年間所造成的虧損。

展望2026至2030年的「保持與躍升」(Sustain + Elevate)新階段,國泰的目標是持續邁進,保持卓越表現,並提升需要改進的領域,以達至其「成為顧客最喜愛的服務品牌」的願景。

集團預計2026年客運運力將增長10%,同時相應提升機腹載貨運力。今年將有8架新窄體客機交付,未來更會有超過95架新飛機陸續接收。

Cathay Group’s 2025 Annual Results mark the completion of its "Rebuild + Invest" phase, delivering three consecutive years of solid financial performance. The Group reported an attributable profit of HK$10.8 billion and a record revenue of HK$116.8 billion.

Averaging an unprecedented HK$10 billion in annual profit over three consecutive years, the Group has successfully covered the losses from the toughest three years in its 80-year history.

Cathay Group CEO Ronald Lam attributed this recovery directly to the company's core leadership philosophy: a Happy Team leads to Happy Customers, which ultimately drives a Profitable Business.

This is indicated by its Team Net Promoter Score (NPS), which surged from negative territory in 2023 to a historical high of +52.3 in 2025, while Customer NPS simultaneously climbed to +34.8. Sharing this success, eligible employees are being rewarded with over 11 weeks of eligible pay.

Looking ahead to the new 2026–2030 "Sustain + Elevate" phase, Cathay's goal is to consistently move forward to sustain high performance and elevate areas where improvement is needed. This aligns with its vision to be its customers' most loved service brand, striving to compete alongside the world's best service brands across all industries in all four lines of business.

The Group forecasts a 10% passenger capacity growth in 2026, which will correspondingly boost belly cargo capacity. Eight new narrowbody aircraft will arrive this year, preceding over 95 future deliveries.

The highly anticipated Boeing 777-9, featuring a new world-leading First Class, is expected for delivery in the second half of 2027. On the product side, the retrofits of the Boeing 777-300ER featuring the award-winning Aria Suite are ongoing, while regional Airbus A330-300s will undergo nose-to-tail retrofits by late 2026 to introduce "Aria Studio" direct-aisle flat beds. Responding to customer feedback, A321neo Economy seat numbers are also being reduced.

On the ground, the flagship lounge, The Wing, First, is expected to reopen in April, with a new flagship lounge in New York scheduled to open later this year.

However, geopolitical volatility in the Middle East has caused jet fuel prices to double and triggered unexpected shifts in passenger flows. Additionally, industry-wide supply chain challenges are expected to continue impacting all airlines, including Cathay. Cathay has built a strong foundation which has made it resilient, efficient and adaptable, putting it in the best possible position to withstand external market turbulence.

Meanwhile, low-cost subsidiary HK Express posted a loss driven by softened Japanese demand due to earthquake rumours, route maturation costs, and five aircraft groundings due to Pratt & Whitney engine issues. Despite this, strong aircraft utilisation, cost efficiency, on-time performance, and operational improvements in early 2026 signal a clear path to profitability for the subsidiary.

集團年初表現穩健,並於2月份持續向好。2026年2月14日,國泰航空及國泰集團雙雙創下單日載客量新高。國泰航空歷史上首次單日載客量突破十萬人次,接載100,747名乘客;連同香港快運,當日集團合共接載約128,000名乘客。

機管局主席林天福聯同運輸及物流局局長陳美寶,今日在機場舉行的農曆新年慶祝活動上正式公布,香港國際機場二號客運大樓的新旅客離港設施,計劃於2026年5月27日正式啟用。屆時,約15家主要營運短途及區內航線的航空公司將會分階段進駐提供服務。

運輸及物流局局長陳美寶在致辭中特別提到,新二號客運大樓主打「科技感」和「年輕化」,與一號客運大樓將相輔相成,大大提升機場運力。當局期望藉新大樓的定位吸引更多新興航空公司進駐,除帶動香港市民前往新興旅遊熱點外,亦能吸引更多年輕旅客訪港,為他們帶來全新體驗。

為配合旅客交通需求,擴建後的二號客運大樓旅客設施正按計劃分階段投入服務。當中離港設施選於5月投入運作,將有助應付預計在暑假旅遊旺季出現的客運高峰,旨在為旅客帶來舒適便捷的新體驗。擴建後的二號客運大樓不但與機場快綫月台及一號客運大樓無縫連接,亦提供新一代智能登記設施,整體設計風格時尚活力,為休閑旅客營造舒適愜意空間。

機管局表示,一直與民航處、入境處、警方及海關等政府部門、航空公司、地勤服務代理商及其他持份者緊密合作,透過全備的計劃,包括安排各項培訓、演練及演習等,讓各方熟習新設施運作,為二號客運大樓離港設施的啟用作好充分準備。

在回顧去年成績時,陳美寶指出香港國際機場表現亮麗,客運量達6,100萬人次,按年增長15%;貨運量亦突破500萬公噸,有望第15次榮膺全球最繁忙貨運機場。展望未來,政府將善用三跑道系統運力積極拓展航空網絡,今年目標是再與10個新的民航夥伴擴大或簽署新協議,重點放眼南美洲、中亞、中東及非洲等具潛力航點,鞏固香港國際航空樞紐地位。

當中,國泰集團旗下國泰航空和香港快運合共接載乘客逾3,600萬人次,按年增長 27%,已經超越2019年水平;可用座位公里數亦較2024年上升逾25%。國泰貨運全年載貨量超過160萬噸,較2024年增長超過9%。

Fred Lam, Chairman of Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), and Mable Chan, Secretary for Transport and Logistics, officially announced today at the Lunar New Year celebrations at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) that the new passenger departure facilities at Terminal 2 are scheduled to commence operations on 27 May 2026. About 15 airlines, primarily operating short-haul and regional routes, will move to the new terminal in phases.

In her remarks, Chan highlighted that the expanded T2 is designed to be a "trendy" and "vibrant" space, incorporating a new generation of smart check-in facilities. Complementing Terminal 1, the new facility will significantly boost the airport’s handling capacity. The government hopes this refreshed positioning will attract more emerging airlines and young travellers to Hong Kong, while also encouraging local residents to explore emerging travel hotspots.

The commissioning of Terminal 2’s passenger facilities is being rolled out in phases to align with air traffic demand. Launching the departure facilities in May is strategically timed to meet the anticipated surge in passenger volume during the summer peak season, aiming to provide a seamless and pleasant travel experience. Seamlessly connected to the Airport Express platform and Terminal 1, the facility is geared towards the needs of leisure travellers.

AAHK stated that it has been working closely with relevant government departments, including the Civil Aviation Department, Immigration Department, Police, and Customs, as well as airlines and ground handling agencies, to prepare for the opening. A robust and comprehensive programme comprising familiarisation activities, training sessions, drills, and exercises is already underway to ensure all stakeholders are ready for the commissioning.

Reflecting on the airport’s performance in 2025, Chan noted that HKIA achieved robust results with passenger throughput reaching 61 million, a 15% year-on-year increase. Cargo throughput exceeded 5 million tonnes, positioning HKIA to potentially be named the world’s busiest cargo airport for the 15th time. Looking ahead, the government plans to leverage the capacity of the Three-Runway System to actively expand the aviation network. The target for this year is to sign or expand air services agreements with 10 new civil aviation partners, focusing on high-potential markets in South America, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa to consolidate Hong Kong’s status as an international aviation hub.

Contributing to this growth, home carrier Cathay Group, comprising Cathay Pacific and HK Express, carried a combined total of more than 36 million passengers in 2025, representing a 27% year-on-year increase and surpassing 2019 levels. The Group also saw a significant expansion in capacity, with Available Seat Kilometres (ASKs) growing by over 25% compared with 2024. Meanwhile, Cathay Cargo carried a total of over 1.6 million tonnes of cargo in 2025, an increase of more than 9% over the previous year.
