U sklopu programa „Budi Novi Svijet“ prikazujemo kratki dokumentarni film „Buđenje Šimuna“, emotivan i vizualno snažan film o ljudima koji su odlučili stati uz svoje more, svoju plažu i svoj otok.

Film prati stvarne događaje u Šimunima na otoku Pagu, gdje su se mještani spontano okupili nakon što je investitor ogradio prostor koji lokalna zajednica desetljećima doživljava kao javnu plažu i zajedničko dobro. Dok institucije ponavljaju da je „sve po zakonu“, film bilježi nešto mnogo važnije, emociju ljudi koji osjećaju da gube dio vlastitog identiteta.

Kroz atmosferu prosvjeda „Sprovod pravnoj državi“, zvuk mora, glazbu, tišinu i lica stvarnih ljudi, „Buđenje Šimuna“ postaje priča o zajednici koja odbija šutjeti.

Film je snimila, režirala i scenaristički oblikovala Danijela Stanojević, dok montažu potpisuje Matija Kralj.
