The island of Vis deserves more than just one night.

Vis Town and Komiža are both worth discovering, but there’s much more to the island than its two main towns.

Sail to Budikovac for its turquoise waters, stop in one of the many bays around the island, or head inland to discover vineyards, small villages and traces of Vis’ fascinating history.

It’s an island that’s worth giving a little more time to both from the sea and on land.

Our advice? Stay an extra day.

Every skipper knows this stop.

Hidden between Veliki Krknjaš, Mali Krknjaš and Drvenik Veli, Krknjaši (Blue Lagoon) is one of the Adriatic's most famous swimming spots.

The white sandy seabed creates those unreal turquoise colours that make you want to jump in immediately.

If you're sailing from Split or Trogir towards Vis or Hvar, don't sail past it.

Tuerredda Beach has a daily limit of only 1,100 visitors and from 2025, you need to book via app just to get in.
Book too late and you're turned away at the gate. Unless you arrive by sea.
Boats anchor just offshore, no reservation needed, no queue, no problem. Just turquoise water, white sand, and a small island 150 metres away that you can swim to.

There are two types of people in Budikovac at sunset:
those who found a free buoy and proudly tied themselves to it… and those slowly cruising around the lagoon hoping someone leaves.

Located on the southeastern side of Vis Island, Budikovac Blue Lagoon is one of the Adriatic’s most famous swimming and overnight spots, known for its shallow turquoise water protected by tiny surrounding islets. It’s around 30 minutes by boat from the town of Vis, which is exactly why so many yachts try to secure a buoy here before sunset.

La Maddalena Archipelago - 62 islands, protected waters and sea colours that honestly look edited.

A national park since 1994, which probably explains why this place still looks almost unreal.

Closest airport? Olbia.
Then comes the hard part: pretending you don’t want to spend the whole summer here. 😄⚓

Croatia, Malta, Gozo - and half of Greece are still arguing over who gets to claim Odysseus.
Legend has it he was shipwrecked here on Mljet and kept captive by the nymph Calypso for 7 years. There's even a cave -accessible only by boat, obviously.
Mljet is 25 kilometres from Dubrovnik - national park, saltwater lakes, empty anchorages. Simply a must-stop.
