A Portum Lines Hajózási Kft., hajóvezetőket keres Budapesten üzemelő városnéző hajóira (MS Sluizer, MS Neptun, MS Merian, MS Klára). A hajók kifejezetten budapesti egy órás sétahajójáratokat végeznek.

Amit kínálunk:

Teljes munkaidős, bejelentett állás, minden törvényes járandósággal (50% túlóra pótlékok, 100% ünnepnapi pótlék, éjszakai és egyéb pótlékok, szabadság, juttatások)

Elvárások:

Érvényes hajóvezetői képesítés és legalább budapesti vonalvizsga

Portum Lines Hajózási Kft. is hiring a boat captain for sightseeing vessels operating in Budapest (MS Sluizer, MS Neptun, MS Merian, MS Klára). Our vessels are dedicated to one-hour sightseeing cruises along the Danube in central Budapest.

What we offer:

Full-time, officially registered employment with all legally mandated benefits (overtime pay, shift bonuses, paid leave, additional allowances)
Work primarily during afternoon and evening hours, with free time during the day
Stable company background and a predictable schedule
Payment: basic salary from 750 000 HUF (net, without benefits)

Requirements:

Valid boat master’s license with at least a Budapest local route certification
Practical experience in passenger vessel operations
Professional, reliable, and responsible work ethic
Hungarian language knowledge is not required but English.

UPDATE ON 30TH December: Cruises are opened again!

Closed due Danube flood Dec 25- Dec 29
SUNDAY DECEMBER 24TH, 2023
Due to the flooding of the Danube, on December 24, 2023, at midnight, the Major of Budapest declared a flood protection alert. The Danube will reach a water level that will unfortunately cause it to overflow its banks within days.
Navigation will become hazardous and dangerous, and our company decided to cancel all cruises between December 25 and December 29.
Safety first and all above! It is difficult to predict exactly how big will be the flood and we are better safe than sorry.
The quay in our area will be restricted for cars and public transportation and it is looking that shortly will be closed also for pedestrians.
Maybe it is chanche that flood situation will be better on 29th December, but at this moment we are not sure about it.
We’ll open the bookings from 29th December when will be sure about the safe situation.

Portum Lines is looking for full-time Waitress (Waiter)/Steward(ess)
We have an open position for (senior) Steward(ess) on our sightseeing boat Neptun. Your job is to welcome passengers, prepare and serve drinks, meals and take care of our guests on a sightseeing ship. The usual work sheet is afternoon/evening. Application is open also for partial -time position.
We are looking for you if you:
- have waiter/barman experience
- speak English
- love to take care of guests, offer drinks, have chat with them
- are easy going and do not stress in the job
The job is:
- managing the bar on the boat
- serve drinks, meals
- take care of guests
Vacancy is open for one full-time job but you are also welcome to apply for partial-time job as doing few days per week.

Q: Do I need steward(ess) experience?
A: Absolutely not, but you need waiter/bar experience and the skills to take care of guests. You’ll pick up the rest.

A: Usually Budapest, the main port is in district 13.

A: No. About 90% of guests are foreigners and all the crew speak English. If you do not have Hungarian citizenship you must have a working visa for Hungary or refugee status.

A: Both. You are working especially at bar but also take care of guests.
Q: How about salary?
A: Based on agreement and is depending also about your experience, skills. We offer good salaries (from 450 000- to 900 000 HUF gross monthly payment for 180 hours), with paid off days, paid holidays, 50% overtime allowance, etc. Let’s try each other and have a talk about money but indicate your request into your application.
Q: Do I need probation?
A: Definitely yes, but you’ll be paid for it. The management is also considering the opinion of co-workers. We are doing team-job.
