Tenganan Pegeringsingan Village in East Bali

Luke and I jumped on a scooter and visited this beautiful, ancient village where the Bali Aga people have lived for generations, the oldest inhabitants of Bali. The renowned double Ikat cloth is made here, along with other traditional authentic crafts and calligraphy. There were almost no tourists here when we visited.

Up the top we visited the honey lady and tasted her delicious honey and sat down and had a cup of tea with her.

Unfortunately the first day we all felt well enough to venture out for the day was our last day in Sanur. We headed to Bali Zoo for breakfast with the orangutans 🦧. Not only was breakfast delicious but you got up close with some amazing animals. We got to hold a pangolin (armadillo looking animal) but our favourites were the elephants and lemurs.

It’s been a while between posts because between the girls and I we’ve been sick for over a week. We had the most amazing time exploring Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Cenigan. Next time I’ll be stayed at least a week though. This place is paradise. We hired scooters for $7 a day and explored the two islands. I had wanted to go and check out Penida but unfortunately that will have to wait till next time. We did manage to swim with the manta rays though!
