LIFEBOAT HOISTING OPERATION – MT. RED RUBY

The lifeboat hoisting operation for MT. RED RUBY has been successfully carried out in a safe and well-coordinated manner.

The process commenced at Utraco Jetty, where the lifeboat was lifted and subsequently towed by a tugboat to MT. RED RUBY, which was at anchorage in Batu Ampar waters.

This operation was managed by PT. Bisa Jasa Segara (Batam Shipping Agency), ensuring high standards of safety, precise ex*****on, and effective operational coordination to support a smooth and efficient process.

From cold lay-up to sailing again.

When ownership of Asgard changed, the vessel was already in cold lay-up in Batam. Shortly after, the vessel owner entrusted us to act as the appointed agent throughout her re-activation process.

Over the next six months, this journey involved close coordination — vessel relocation, shipyard liaison, crew onboarding, technical support, compliance, and final departure arrangements.

Every step required patience, teamwork, and constant communication between all parties involved.

Asgard departed Batam exactly on 31 December 2025 — a meaningful way to close the year for everyone involved.

Submarine Cable Transfer Operation in Batam — Handled by Batam Shipping Agency

PT. Bisa Jasa Segara, operating as Batam Shipping Agency, is proud to have successfully coordinated one of the most complex and critical subsea cable logistics projects in Batam.

We were appointed as the local agent for MV. Bulker Bee 11, a Netherlands-flagged vessel carrying 1,157.5 kilometers of submarine cable with 11 repeater units, commissioned by one of Indonesia’s largest telecommunications companies.

Our scope of services included:
• Full inward clearance & PKKA
• Import permit for cable cargo
• Visa arrangements for crew, visitors, and superintendents
• Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer of 1,108.5 km of cable to Bentang Bahari (Cable Laying Vessel) via double banking
• Ship-to-Port (STP) unloading of remaining 49 km to warehouse
• Delivery of ship spares & customs clearance
• Crew change, provision, bunker supply, and Dahsuskim permits
• Underwater hull cleaning at anchorage

All operations were completed over several weeks through close collaboration with port authorities, terminal operators, customs, immigration, and cargo owners.

This project demonstrates our ability to support high-precision, mission-critical operations that directly impact national infrastructure and digital connectivity.
