We heard this bridge is the starting point of a hike to the “air terjun je'ne berang” waterfall. We couldn’t find the way to go up the river. After some research when we came home we learned that we needed to climb down the other bridge on picture 2. You need to walk the riverbed because the waterfall is in a gorge. Now we know how to reach the waterfall, next time hopefully we will see it.

If there’s one thing that Sulawesi isn’t short of, it’s waterfalls. The funny thing is that we thought we where walking to a specific waterfall and we found and other. If you visit these “less populair” waterfalls on weekdays your almost every time are the only one there.

It was declared the most biodiverse place in the world in 2002. The marine park area is home to over a thousand different species of fish and more than five hundred different corals.
