🇻🇳❤️ From Vietnam to the hidden side of Bali.
It was a pleasure to welcome Mimi and her family from Vietnam to Bali.
We picked them up at the airport and brought them to Durenne Bali Retreat, where their Bali experience began far away from the busy tourist streets.
During their stay, I had the pleasure of personally showing them around the local area.

Sometimes the best Bali memories aren't about visiting the most famous places.

🇳🇱 From Bali to Java — an unforgettable journey through Indonesia.
Our guests from the Netherlands decided not to stop at Bali.
From Bali, they continued their adventure across Java — exploring waterfalls, volcanoes, colonial heritage and some of Indonesia's most iconic temples.

🌋 East Java
The journey started with the spectacular Ijen, before continuing to Lumajang and an incredible waterfall adventure.
They discovered four impressive waterfalls:
💦 Tumpak Sewu
💦 Curug Sriti
💦 Kapas Biru
💦 Pelangi Waterfall

From Lumajang, the journey continued to Mount Bromo for another unforgettable experience.
And sometimes… timing is everything.
Just one day after they left Bromo, the area was closed due to volcanic activity. We were lucky to experience it while it was still possible.
📍 Along the way, they also stopped at the famous Red Church in Probolinggo.

🏛️ Central Java
Next stop: Semarang.
They explored Lawang Sewu, one of the city's most iconic historical buildings, followed by a walk through the atmospheric Old Town of Semarang.

🛕 Yogyakarta
The final chapter took them to Yogyakarta, where they visited two of Java's greatest treasures:
✨ Borobudur Temple
✨ Prambanan Temple

And then it was time to say goodbye to Java.
✈️ From Semarang Airport to Jakarta, and finally back to the Netherlands — with a suitcase full of memories.

🚗✨ Guest Journey Highlight ✨🚗

Recently, we had the pleasure of assisting a lovely couple traveling from Malang to the stunning Turtle Lounge in Banyuwangi.

The route is one of the more challenging journeys in East Java, but every kilometer is worth it. To make the trip even more memorable, we stopped at the magnificent Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, one of Indonesia's most beautiful natural attractions.

Seeing our guests enjoy the landscapes, local culture, and hidden gems along the way reminds us why we love what we do.
