Every forest restored is a step toward a more sustainable future. Building on the successful restoration of 150 hectares of natural forest over the past two years, Vietnam Airlines is proud to continue the "Leaves for Forests" 2026 initiative alongside PanNature, MoMo, and the community.

This year, the program will restore 72 hectares of natural forest in Son La Province, planting native tree species to protect water resources, preserve biodiversity, and improve forest quality. These efforts also contribute to Vietnam's Net Zero 2050 ambition by enhancing carbon absorption while supporting sustainable livelihoods for local communities.

✨ VIETNAM AIRLINES PILOTS SELF CHECK-IN AND SELF-BAG DROP FOR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS AT NOI BAI AIRPORT

✈️ Vietnam Airlines passengers departing on international flights from Terminal 2 at Noi Bai International Airport can now enjoy a faster travel experience with the new self check-in and self-bag drop kiosks, located at Island A-B (Counters A01, A02).

With the self-service kiosks, passengers can:
✅ Check in from 6 hours to 60 minutes before departure.
✅ Drop off checked baggage from 3 hours to 50 minutes before departure.
✅ Print boarding passes and baggage tags, then complete baggage drop with ease.

Vietnam Airlines staff are always available to assist throughout the process. Once baggage has been dropped off, passengers can proceed directly to immigration and enjoy more time to relax before boarding.

Don't forget to try the self-service kiosks on your next international journey!

🤝 Vietnam Airlines Announces Plan to Lease 19 Boeing 737 MAX 8 Aircraft

At the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 in the UK, Vietnam Airlines announced plan to lease 19 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft through agreements with three of the world's leading aircraft lessors: SMBC Aviation Capital, Phoenix Aviation Capital (managed by AIP Capital), and Avolon Aerospace Leasing Limited.

Expected for delivery from 2028, the planned fleet expansion will bring Vietnam Airlines' Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet to 69 aircraft, including 50 firm orders and 19 leased aircraft.

The investment marks another step in the airline's long-term fleet modernization strategy, strengthening network growth, improving operational efficiency, and meeting the increasing demand for air travel.

🇻🇪 SECOND HUMANITARIAN FLIGHT DEPARTS FOR VENEZUELA

Less than 24 hours after its first relief mission, Vietnam Airlines has dispatched a second special flight to support earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela.

Flight VN68, operated by an Airbus A350, departed Hanoi on the night of 29 June, carrying 46.8 tonnes of humanitarian cargo and specialized equipment to support ongoing search and rescue operations. The mission is operated by a dedicated 15-member crew and includes a technical stop at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport before continuing to Simón Bolívar International Airport in Caracas.

✈️ The deployment of a second consecutive special flight underscores Vietnam Airlines' commitment to supporting Vietnam's international humanitarian mission, delivering critical relief supplies to those affected by the disaster.
