ABL is supporting the CSR of our strategic partner, Berau Coal, alongside multistakeholders through the installation of artificial coral structures (Reef Stupa) in Maratua on May 1–2, 2026 as part of a coral reef transplantation initiative in the waters of Maratua Island.
Preserving the beauty beneath Berau’s waters, PT Asian Bulk Logistics (ABL), together with strategic partners and stakeholders, participated in this initiative as part of its commitment to marine conservation.
“We, as strategic partners, are committed to working together to protect the ocean and ensure the sustainability of its ecosystems,” — Dimas Rinto Prasetyo, Region Head Berau, PT Asian Bulk Logistics.
Through the use of artificial reefs, this initiative helps restore marine ecosystems, accelerate coral growth, and sustain biodiversity—while strengthening the long-term potential of tourism and coastal communities. It also represents a collaborative step toward creating lasting environmental and socio-economic impact for future generations.
Shipping Manager & PJK3L Marine PT Berau Coal, Sandy Santosa, emphasized that this initiative is not merely an administrative obligation, but a real form of cross-stakeholder collaboration in protecting the marine environment.
“This is our second initiative, following last year’s mangrove planting program. Moving forward, we hope this program can continue and involve even more stakeholders,” he said.
Appreciation was also expressed by the Head of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) Payung-Payung, Ardiansyah, who highlighted the positive impact of this collaboration for both the community and the environment.
