In commemoration of World Environment Day 2026, ABL Group received the CSR Support Award for Pyrolysis Equipment from the Government of Berau Regency through the Environmental and Sanitation Agency.

The award was symbolically presented by the Regent of Berau, Her Excellency Hj. Sri Juniarsih Mas, M.Pd, and was received by Ms. Sashi Setya, representing ABL Group’s management, on Thursday, August 6, 2026. This recognition reflects ABL Group’s continued contribution to advancing sustainable waste management through the implementation of pyrolysis technology.

This acknowledgment stands as a tangible testament to ABL Group’s commitment to CSR programs built upon two key pillars: Environmental Conservation and Socio-Cultural Development. This strategic acquisition strengthens ABL Group’s integrated logistics platform across rail, transshipment, containers, and marine services, while reinforcing our commitment to becoming a leading integrated logistics and infrastructure solutions provider in the Asia-Pacific region.

On Thursday, 23 July 2026, in Berau, East Kalimantan, ABL Group, in collaboration with BRIN and the Berau Regency Government, officially kicked off the implementation of PITARA Ver. 2 (Pirolisis Tabung Bertingkat) at TPS3R Pulau Derawan.

More than introducing a new technology, this initiative was designed to create a sustainable ecosystem where plastic waste is transformed into alternative fuel, local communities are empowered through hands-on training, and innovation is applied directly to address real environmental challenges.

Developed as a Living Laboratory, the program brought together government, researchers, industry, and the local community to build a circular economy model that can be replicated across Indonesia's island regions.

As part of ABL Group's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitment, this initiative reflected our belief that meaningful impact is achieved through strong partnerships, practical innovation, and shared responsibility.
