Take a closer look at the reef, a moray eel might be peeking out.

They usually stay hidden in the reef, with just their head sticking out. That constant opening and closing of their mouth isn’t a warning, it’s just how they breathe. It might look like they’re watching you, but they’re really just staying still and waiting.

Spend some time exploring the reef with us!

Sometimes you’ll see the anemone before the clownfish.

Clownfish live closely with sea anemones and are immune to their stinging tentacles, so they can move safely between them while staying protected from predators. In return, they help keep the anemone clean and may even attract small prey.

Next time you dive, look closely at the anemone first. There’s a good chance a clownfish is already there!

Do you know what the orbicular batfish is capable of as a juvenile?

When they’re still young, they’ve got a cool little trick, they can look just like a floating leaf. With their dark brown or orangey color and those long fins, they just drift around and blend right in. You might not even notice them!

Manta rays are actually way smarter than most people think.

They have the largest brain to body ratio of any cold blooded fish, which is why they’re considered highly intelligent marine animals. They use this intelligence to navigate the ocean, find food, and explore their surroundings, including getting close to divers.

Come dive with us and get a closer look at manta rays!

Do you think this is a coral? No, it’s actually made up of thousands of tiny animals working together.

You’ve probably seen coral like this on your dives, but not everyone realizes how alive it really is. Each branch is covered in tiny polyps. These polyps eat, grow and build an ecosystem that serves as a home for the surrounding fish.
One healthy coral reef equals one thriving marine community!

Next time you dive, keep your eyes out for these!

This isn’t just an octopus, it’s a master of disguise!

If you’ve ever felt like you were missing something underwater, this is why. An octopus can change its colour, texture, even its shape in seconds, right in front of you, and you’d still miss it.

Next time you dive, slow down and take a closer look at the reef. You might be looking straight at an octopus without even realising it.
