Enjoy your relax time accompanied by a cup of coffee. Coffee is culture, art, and even a hobby. Some people drink coffee as a habit in relax time, at work, or when hangout with friends. Especially in Indonesia, drinking coffee is a culture and normally people drink it in the morning before activity.
There are many kinds of coffee in Indonesia, but the most famous is Luwak Coffee and Arabica Coffee. As for Arabica Coffee, it has many variations and usually people name it according its origin, such as Arabica Sumatra Gayo, Arabica Toraja, Arabica Bajawa, Arabica Kintamani, Arabica Ijen Raung Java, etc. Each
Arabica coffee in each region has different taste and special characteristics.
- Gayo Coffee from Aceh has a thinner texture and not too thick with balanced acidity.
- Kintamani Coffee has a unique taste because of the dominance of fresh citrus acid and the fragrance of the flower, with a mild acidity and thickness.
- Ijen Raung Java Coffee has a unique characteristic that is a slightly spicy taste with the aroma of forest flowers.
- Arabica Coffee from the Bajawa Flores region has a fairly thick thickness, but its acidity level is low. Unlike most coffees in Indonesia, this coffee has a dominant flavor of chocolate and vanilla with a slightly nutty after taste.
- Toraja Coffee in Sulawesi tends to have an earthy taste, like the taste of soil or forests with low acid content. But it usually doesn't leave a bitter after taste which for some people is annoying.
