ASI Pudjiastuti Aviation (Susi Air) holds an Air Operator Certificate AOC 135-028. Founded in 2004, Susi Air started operating with 2 aircraft in December 2004, Operations in Medan started on the 27th of December 2004 in response to the earthquake and tsunami which destroyed large parts of the area. Ever since, 2 aircraft have been permanently based in Medan, and after initially providing charter

flights for aid organizations, by 2006 Susi Air started to develop scheduled routes based out of Medan. The company has developed significantly outside of Medan as well. At present, Susi Air operates a fleet of 50 aircraft, consisting of 32 Cessna Grand Caravan C208B, 9 Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter, 3 Piaggio P180 Avanti II, 1 Air Tractor AT802 “Fuel Hauler”, 1 Diamond Twin Star DA42, 1 Piper Archer PA-28 and 1 Dornier Do 228 for fixed wing aircraft. Helicopter operations started late 2009 with 1 Agusta Westland Grand A109S and 1 Agusta Westland Koala A119Ke joining the fleet in March 2010. Susi Air has 23 main operational bases in Medan, Banda Aceh, Padang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Jakarta, Pangandaran, Balikpapan, Palangkaraya, Samarinda, Tarakan, Malinau, Ketapang, Kupang, Makassar, Ternate, Manokwari, Biak, Nabire, Timika, Jayapura, Wamena, Merauke and we will soon open another base in Singapore at Seletar Airport. Operations are supported by a total of more than 180 pilots, 75 aircraft engineers and mechanics and 650 other ground and support staff. Serving 204 domestic routes with 168 total destinations around the country, Susi Air continue to grow with more fleet to come. Additional Cessna Caravan, Pilatus Porter, Helicopters, Twin Engine aircraft or even Jet is part of company future expansion to cope with rising demand of air transportation. As part of education responsibility, Susi Air also setting up a flying school offering scholarship programme in the near future. As part of company safety programme, every aircraft are installed with satellite based tracking and communication device and monitored by Susi Air Control Center. All aircraft movement displayed with live report contains position (location), altitude and other data from each aircraft. If an emergency button pressed, it will trigger distress signal and activate warning / alert notification system in control center monitor. Control center will send the latest position of distressed aircraft to closest base to verify aircraft position and initiate further actions if necessary.
