20/12/14 - Race Highlights

Three back to back races was held on the Regatta Course today.

For the first race, Suartana Komang finishes first for the first time in the championship.

Cheng Kwok Fai regains momentum, claiming first runner up and then the top spot for the final two races, comfortably claiming his World title.

For Women, Ma Kwan Ching maintains her perfect record of first placing until the final race where Syadine Arethusa takes it from her. With this Syadine Arethusa was able to leap ahead taking the third position from Rio Horirah.

Team Hong Kong's strong consistency in the championship has allowed them to claim and guard their Men and Women World titles till the end. Congratulations!

20/12/14 - Today marks the final day of RS:One World Championship 2014. In contrast with Day 1's grey skies and drizzles, the sun was shining at full strength down on the beach.

3 races were had out by the sea from Trikora Beach Club as our windsurfers give it their all in the final stretch.

19/12/14 - Race Highlights

Igusti Made Oka Sulaksana (Indonesia) continuing his streak from yesterday continues to dominate first place for both races today, putting him one step closer to current overall leader Cheng Kwok Fai (Hong Kong).

For Women, Ma Kwan Ching (Hong Kong) continue to dominate the top spot, consistently finishing first. Rio Horiah (Indonesia) currently in second place only has one point difference with Hisui Takahashi (Japan) currently in third place.

Tomorrow marks the final day of RS:One World Championship 2014. Will the Hong Kong sailors continue to secure their lead to victory?

We will find out tomorrow as the championship reaches its finale.

19/12/14 - Today Trikora Beach Club was faced with heavy downpour keeping our windsurfers indoors until afternoon. When the rain lost some of its strength, our windsurfers finally headed out to sea under grey skies and threatening weather.

Two races on the Regatta Course today brings the race count up to 11.

18/12/14: Race highlights -

For Race 7 Cheng Kwok Fai was first to finish leaving Igusti Made Oka Sulaksana first runner up. However, Oka responded by taking the lead in Race 8 and 9, riding into the sunset with a cheerful skip.

For Women, Ma Kwan Ching Continues to take the lead as the clear victor for all three races. Hisui Takahashi (current 2nd) and Rio Hoiriah (current third) however is fighting closely for 2nd spot with varying positions concluding with a nett difference of only one point.

Watch out for Syadine Arethusa (current fourth) though, taking second place for race 8 and 9, she is catching up fast.

18/12/14: In the morning our competitors took a break with a tour of Bintan! They got to see Jong (miniature boat) racing and even took part in it. Afterwards, was a shopping trip to buy local handicrafts and produce.
