PIEMINISTER IRELAND

PIEMINISTER IRELAND Hello, we're the people who make those wonderful award winning pies! www.pieminister.co.uk But that's not the whole story.

We make great pies using fresh, local ingredients from farmers we trust. As a growing business we have a responsibility to be....

good to our suppliers
Tristan has spent a long time working with local farmers and other suppliers to make sure we source the best meat and veg possible for our pies. We deal with farmers who care for their livestock and are as local to our Bristol base as possible. Th

is has not only helped us win awards for the quality of our pies but also caught the attention of the good people at Compassion in World Farming. good to our workers
Happy people tend to be more productive than sad ones. pieminister strive to make the workplace as enjoyable as possible by taking the time to listen to what people want. This is how a massive cow came to be painted on the main office wall and an allotment was built in the garden last year for everyone to enjoy. Jon and Tristan also have a open door policy, where anyone can come and speak to them without having to make an appointment first. Members of the team are actively encouraged to think outside the box, try out new ideas and speak up if they think there's a better way of doing things. Oh, and Pie Day Friday (where everyone gets given a pie for lunch and can sit down and eat together) is definitely the highlight of the week! good to our customers
We take feedback from our customers very seriously. Using our social networks we've managed to give people an open platform to give us suggestions on anything and everything, from pie flavours to the colour of our pie van. Direct feedback on any issue is personally dealt with by Jon Simon and we have regular sessions with members of our VIPie group to make sure we're listening to our customers as much as possible. This has helped us hugely in developing ideas for new pie fillings, new packaging and even marketing campaigns. Join our VIPie group now if you want to be part of this process, follow us on Twitter and come and join us on Facebook. good to the planet
True to the Lonely Planet motto - "Take only photos, leave only footprints" - we try to make sure our carbon footprint treads as lightly as possible across the earth. That's why we only use recycled materials in our packaging (the cardboard cartons we use at festivals come from sustainable forest and are fully compostable, while each part of our retail packaging can be recycled). Sourcing pie ingredients as close to our kitchens as possible means that we cut down on unnecessary transport where possible too.
