We’re excited to announce our final fundraiser towards the cost of the line-marking in the Church Car Park. A Community Duck Race will take place on Thursday evening June 18th at 6:30pm at Ballineen Bridge and we would love your support! 🦆🏁
The car park is not only used daily by our school community, but also by many groups and members of the wider community throughout the year. The new line-marking has helped make the area safer, more organised and easier to use for everyone.
There are two ways to support this fundraising initiative:
🏆 Corporate Sponsorship – Sponsor a Class Duck
We are asking local businesses, families and friends if they would consider sponsoring a duck on behalf of an individual class grouping (e.g. Senior Infants, 4th Class, Preschool Room 1 etc).
Sponsorship Options:
• €50 Duck Sponsorship
• €100 Duck Sponsorship
• Or any contribution your business or family would like to make
Each sponsored duck will be assigned to a class, helping to build excitement and friendly competition among the pupils on race day. The class duck which crosses the finish line first will win a homework pass or suitable alternative for all members of that class. All sponsors will receive a thank you on our School page and at the duck race itself.
🦆 Individual Duck Entry
Individual ducks can also be purchased for €10 each. When purchasing a duck, you can decide whose name you would like assigned to it — for example a child, grandchild, godchild or family member.
The first three ducks to cross the finish line will win novelty trophies for their owners! 🏆
