High cost of airfares from the UK & Ireland to Thailand now ?

The cost of airfares to Thailand from The UK and Ireland has almost doubled in the last month, which might be a serious benefit for those who want to relocate to Thailand.
Why?
Because the main impact of these expensive airfares is going to be felt in the tourism sector. Someone coming to Thailand for a few weeks or a month is going to put off their trip and go somewhere closer to home instead.
The implications on the Thai economy is going to push prices downwards on everything from accommodation to entertainment as well as everything else.
That means that someone coming here to relocate might pay £600 more for a one way flight, but that extra cost should easily be mitigated by an even lower cost of living in Thailand than existed before the Iranian war.
Think about it, an extra £600 works out at £60 a month over 10 months, which anyone relocating long term will definitely recoup.

With at least half of the airline seat capacity that used to transit through The UAE knocked out, here are a few direct flight alternatives by airline .
British Airways: Operates year-round direct flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Bangkok.
Thai Airways: Provides direct flights from London Heathrow (LHR) to Bangkok.
EVA Air: Offers direct flights from London Heathrow (LHR) to Bangkok.
Norse Atlantic Airways: Offers direct flights, often marketed from London Gatwick.

Here are some indirect flights you can also check out: Schiphol (Amsterdam), Charles de Gaul (Paris) Frankfurt, and sometimes a really good option is Turkish airlines via Istanbul.

I lost 5 years of my life by not retiring to Thailand sooner.

Thailand is a lot closer than you think to The UK and Ireland.

Danny divorced his wife after 35 years and moved to Thailand.

The first 10 years of my marriage were pretty good because we were fighting hard together financially for the same goals, but differences and priorities changed when we became more comfortable.
She became someone that I didn’t recognize anymore and was constantly trying to impress others buying material things that were no use to us.
This was not at all my style, but we had two kids at this stage, so I stuck with it even though we kept becoming more distant from each other. I wouldn’t even say we were living like sister and brother, just 2 people living together and being civil to each other for the sake of the kids. In truth she was horrible to me behind the kids back, and I let her get away with it quietly waiting for my moment.

Our second child finished college recently, and I was doing ok financially. Not wealthy for sure, but I have a decent passive income, and I was able to come to an amicable settlement with my now ex wife on our shared assets.

I was always thinking about moving to Thailand and watching videos on how life might look like over there, but I was nervous having never been further from home than Spain for short holidays.
Then I came across a post from Exit UK and Ireland, and boy did my life change fast after I contacted Barry.

I won’t go into detail here, but check out www.exitukandireland.com and see for yourself why they are so good at relocating single guys like myself seamlessly.
It feels so so good to be wanted again and to be in a very positive relationship with a decent social circle to mix with.
I honestly feel that there has been a massive concrete block lifted from my back, and 10 years younger with a real zest for the future.

Why retiring to Thailand is not for everyone:

We honestly don’t believe that retiring to Thailand with a 1.2k monthly pension will benefit anyone, unless you have a mortgage free property in Ireland or the UK which you can rent out for maybe 1.5k to top up your monthly income.
You would probably be better off staying at home rather than going to Thailand if your only income was a 1.2k pension, but with a 2.7k income you will live a fantastic lifestyle which will be multiple times better than you could afford at home.

Also, If you have dependency issues at home, there is a great chance they will become worse in Thailand from our observations over time.

Those who have loud mouths and often disrespect others that have different opinions to their own will find they have the exact same set of problems they have in The UK or Ireland when they get to Thailand.

We do not accept all community members who apply just to collect fees. If we feel Thailand might not suit you for whatever reason, we will tell you so, and you will probably agree after a casual open chat with Barry.

Running away from The UK or Ireland is not a good reason to move to Thailand. Your main reason should be that you see a better lifestyle in Thailand in your current circumstances, so you are running to Thailand to improve your lifestyle and not running away from home. There is a big difference in these two mentalities. Most successful expats return home at least once a year to visit family and friends and to stay in touch.

Structuring your day and week into a routine in Thailand is very important for anyone considering relocating and this will take a little time.
It will become much easier if and when you find a good companion to settle down with, but you still need your own interests outside of any relationship, regardless of whether it is fishing, playing golf, going to the gym or whatever else.

Going on a road trip to different areas of Thailand for a few days every couple of months is also a great way to keep your life flowing smoothly. You can often get fantastic deals on amazing 5 star hotel resorts in the off season.

One of the most important things to do when you relocate is to make sure you have a reason to leave your condo for a couple of hours every day, and build it into your weekly routine in such a way it creates social contact with others as far as possible.

It does take effort for a few months to settle into life in Thailand, but it is most definitely worth it for those who make it, as anyone will tell you who has been here for a while. Nearly every last one of them will tell you that they could never again move back to living in The UK or Ireland.

We have our own very wide circle of community members who you will meet at frequent social events and that for sure makes it easier to settle in.

That is only one of the many reasons retirees use our services to relocate to Thailand as seamlessly as possible.
You are welcome to apply to join our community here, and completely design a brand new retirement lifestyle for yourself:

How Thailand literally saved my life.

I was so depressed in the uk.

Read David’s story

I was so depressed in The UK that I was thinking what’s the point.
The funny thing in hindsight is that I thought I was poor with my £1,200 monthly pension, even though I had no mortgage, and of course I was right to a point.

I had retired from work, and had a lot of time on my hands. My adult kids are great, but they are leading very busy lives, and I kept out of their way so that they could get on with it without feeling I was a burden.

A friend of mine returned from a holiday in Pattaya 6 months ago, and told me how he met Barry and Darren from “Exit UK and Ireland” socially by accident, and how they operate helping people like me to relocate to Thailand.

The short version of the story is that I contacted Barry through https://exitukandireland.com/ and when he explained that the rental income from my UK home along with my pension would allow me to live a very different lifestyle in Thailand, I was all ears.

Two months later, Barry and his team had me set up in a beautiful condo with a retirement visa and every last detail of my relocation looked after.

They helped me to organise everything possible before I left the UK, to collecting me personally in the airport, and spending 2 days settling me in. They even had tea, coffee, cereal, milk, fruit and biscuits in the apt when I arrived.

Within a few days I had a new social circle, a new sim card, all taxi and food delivery apps downloaded, and a new internet package.

One month in and Bua introduced me to a friend of hers, and we have been dating a few months now.

Thank God my friend told me about this alternative way of living, and he is going to do the same thing in two years time when he retires.

No words could explain how much my life has changed for the better, and my adult kids are delighted for me too.

David from Brighton.

Maybe they could help you too.
