Managed to get "Miss Whiplash"completed just before the christmas break, like all of these jobs, she came in for some repairs, which morphed into a complete refit from the keel up,its never quite so simple when weight is such a critical factor but we are happy enough that she will be leaving the workshop slightly lighter than when she arrived!!(wish i could say the same about myself)

Still flat out in the workshop, which is odd for the time of year, wev'e been repairing and reffiting "Miss Whiplash" a 1986 "Andrieu" half tonner which was involved in a "Racing incident" as well as doing a series of upgrades to a "Formosa 51" and our winter project is the complete restoration of probably the smallest full keeled yacht ive ever seen at 15ft 8 inches overall

We got this 80s "Ring 21" in earlier in the summer to have a look at her transom to see if she was sound enough to take larger power, We very quickly found that the transom was completely rotten as was the floor, we had to remove the Outboard well to get at the transom and rebuilt it with a thicker transom new floor and larger reinforcing webs to take the larger engine, after refitting the well ,we turned her over and bonded that onto the transom, We fitted a 220 liter stainless tank under the well, to supply the Mariner 225 EFI which is on a jack plate, with hydraulic steering. Instruments and GPS are on a center pod, We also made the cover, After sea trials she's going off to be wrapped
